Blue Venus II
Waves
of
inspiration
flow
from
hearts

love
~
On Monday I received an email from my dear friend, Monica,
a very special lady I first crossed paths with in the fall of 2010.
Facing similar challenges, Monica and I found the gift of friendship
after meeting on an internet medical support forum. Since that time,
we have become sisters of the soul… And, for this, I’m so grateful.
After admiring Resa’s spectacular masterpiece art-gown Blue Venus this weekend,
Monica sent me a wonderful poem she composed, explaining
that she was inspired by the stunning gown, combined with
the spirit she envisioned I would wear it.
I am deeply touched by her graceful heart, and
wanted to share her poetic healing words with each of you today.
Paired with a shadow self-portrait, please enjoy this 3rd level
of artistic inspiration born of Resa’s Blue Venus;
Truly captivating verse, crafted by a very
talented poetess, and
beautiful friend.
Thank you
Monica!
With so much Love
~
Robyn Lee
~
Wrapped in clouds and sky
her footfall gentle on the sand
eyes shining with bravery
trailing tranquility in her wake.
~
Garbed in shimmering blue
Grecian goddess dancing
with iridescent fish from the sea
to the melody of hope and love.
~
Floating in sapphire silk,
singing to the ocean and stars
the wind answers back
as she walks like the night, in beauty.

Thanks so much dearest Sheri ~ yes – this poem was such spontaneous treasure to recieve. Monica has been sending me mail and care packages while I’m away ~ and while she is dealing with challenges of her own. She is a special friend indeed and so forutnuante we met across this technologoy. Thank you for hugs too Sheri — I am spiritually in a good place but physically it’s not going as well as I’d hoped….Although I am mastering the techniques here — seems body rejecting a lot of the work (rebounding) and theory is there may be more obstacles that have not been defined. Keeping hopeful ~ maybe I’m in “belly of the whale” and will triumph yet? Hope you are doing well over there yourself — are you feeling stronger and ajusting to meds management plan… Keeping you in heart always ~ X RL

What a beautiful, loving, inspiring poem … and it does ‘fit’ you so wonderfully, Robyn! I adore the blue sapphire shadow photo – a picture of grace and elegance that is absolutely you! Love this. ~ Gentle hugs and lots of love, Julie xoxox

Oh Julie ~ so happy you enjoyed it. Know Monica will love your own poetry and although she does not blog (still working on her) she does write stunning poetry herself – so will refer her to your blog for sure!! Thank you for your compliment on the shadow portrait too ~ it was done this past summer and I never used it — but when I saw the dress, it occurred to me that this photo could represent me in such a magical elegant gown.. Thank you so much sweet friend ~ means a lot and am sending you hugs and love right back ~ x RL

Two great verses or poems on one post… wonderful.. great that you have the support and friendship with such a talented person… your sharing must be fantastic… I’ve read a bit on FB about what your trying to achieve and to be fairly honest I understand some of it but not all… but I see what you are trying to achieve and I hope you get there… love to you all…
February 20, 2013 at 11:24 PM
Aww thank you lovely friend. Yes – something about connecting with others in friendship — and to be able to collaborate and share this way is even richer, I agree. Monica has similar issues – and we had our hip surgeries nearly the same time… so lots of bonding for us girls over these years. The blessings that are born of difficult times – makes you think.. Thank you for caring too bd ~ yes complicated to some degree… basically trying to learn to live with broken parts… but seems my case may even more complex than I thought. I am learning so much here about proper neruomuscular control of muscles and joints… just have not encountered my miracle yet — will keep trying!!! Lots of Love ~ x RL

Thank you everyone for such wonderfully warm comments about my poem to Robyn and about our cherished friendship. Truthfully, it was remarkably easy to compose a poem about Robyn — she, just by being her angelic self, is a captivating and magical muse (and Resa’s “art dress” was lovely inspiration as well) – the words just emerged effortlessly. I am grateful to all of you for being an endearing and supportive part of Robyn’s life – I know the blogging community she is part of means a lot to her. And I am overjoyed that so many others also see the radiance, grace, and pure love that is Robyn’s soul – she is one who makes a difference in the world just by being in it.

Oh Monica ~~ you are here!! Thank you for your heartfelt and wonderful words to all my amazing blog friends … in many ways these guys/gals are like an extended family, and am so happy to introduce you through this fantastic medium and your poetry. I know they will be so happy to read your loving comment. I love this poem so much — and now am just thrilled to have it here displayed in my blog — posted for all to see and for me to revisit whenever I need a lift. I still love the concept of this ‘contagious inspiration’ –Resa designing the gown and then the waves that seemed to flow from that initial spark. Monica – so grateful to have you in my life ~ and all the radiance you see in me is merely a reflection of your own — you do know that, right? ~ Love you much !! xo

This is the gift that keeps on giving. Monica’s theme portrays you as a very special person, ethereal almost. Separate from your poetry and photographic talents you are clearly a woman apart and I am all the more appreciative of being able to enjoy the fruits of your mind.
March 2, 2013 at 6:28 AM
Lovely comment once again Mike ~ I am touched. Yes – the gift that keeps giving …. I love that idea. Beautiful Monica did honor me with her enchanting words here. “Ethereal” ~ well if only I had such power… Probably as an ‘archetype’ I could gravitate to the sky though ~ and yet parts of me are pretty much rooted in the earth (Capricorn and everything)… thank you for your very kind words and insights. I always appreciate!
Much Love to you ~ RL
