This category has been developed to house posts/pages that speak directly to my challenge of living with physical pain. My hope is that it both enlightens, and also helps others in similar situations feel less alone and better understood.
Much Love,
Robyn Lee
well that Gibran quote could be the case for the migraines I endured for years and years… but do enjoy the photo

Being faced with pain (physical or emotional) does indeed unleash new insight and understanding that might otherwise remain dormant. Just feel I have maxed out at this point. Do hope your migraine syndrome has vanished forever Dean! Thanks so much. The photo was a spontaneous one that my daughter captured recently. Thought it might help illustrate this excellent quote 🙂 ~ RL

Thanks so much, and yes Celeste, the breaking of the shell… it is rather profound. When I mediate on Gibran’s words, something begins to churn inside me. Hard to explain, but he expresses in single line something that I’ve lived, learned~ though still have not accepted. Thank you for noticing this page. It sits here quietly for those who discover. Much Love ~

Love this image, and your new Header image…lovely work by all! Such a delightful treat having met you here and an truly wonderful experience watching you emerge and grow with your images, inspiration, and words…and to be sure, most selfishly on my part, to see your shadow series project! Hope to continue to flourish in this most lovely study of yourself and the world around you Robyn. An avid admirer of you and your work, Stan
ps. your hubby did great as well! It does not take a “pro” to capture great images when they are photographed from the heart!

Thanks so much Stan….always great to get your thoughts on the photos…and especially touched that you feel connected to my words and stories here as well. Yes- it is a study of both myself and my experience with the world…that sums it up so well. I do find the project therapeutic and healing too…which makes it even the better, and friends like you who I’ve met along the way have enriched my life a great deal. Lots more shadows to come -…. promise. Much Love ~ RL ps: thanks for your thumbs up on my new cover photo. If you saw how fast we got that done, you’d certain say ‘photographed from the heart’ !! Really thought we would need a retake but I’m pretty happy with it for now ~ Blessigns your way Stan !!

Absolutely love Kahlil Gibran.
He tells a life in a sentence.

Yes – Gibran… have been reading his work since I was a kid. You are so right — in one sentence he can offer a life truth that is so remarkable. Thanks much for stopping in here ~ much appreciate ~ Wellness and Love, RL

The mood and the quote….The quote and the mood…like a complete painting. Nothing missing, nothing extra. Unique and raw.
You do keep inspiring, Robyn and thank you for that.

hi penny ~ thank you dearest beloved friend. i’m wrapping it up here — very mixed feelings as I liked having a mission, becoming educated, and was being so proactive here… working very hard daily under wonderful supervision, and now going back to a place of isolation. Although I am still in a great deal of pain — i have learned so much and am ever so thankful for the dedication and care i received here. My instincts were right on about this particular healer (and his team)… I hope to have an ongoing communication with them from a distance, perhaps return for follow-up an am just so thankful to have had this encounter the last 6 weeks. Will try to do a post soon… in dedication and with update on my predicament… Hoping this finds you feeling well and in good spirits as well ~ we will need to catch up! xxxooo With tons of Love ~ Robyn

I got your e-mail notice and could not find the page , then looked at the top of your blog, found “Pain Shadow Series then the poem and photo, then to the gallery page. That gallery page was graphic. Yours is a beautiful poem and the shadow photo series is clever even if coming from an unhappy experience. Interesting how creativity has been an outlet for pain, a blessing that arises from the dark places.Much love to you, my friend.May the scents and sights of a thousand blossoms invigorate your senses!(that is either going to sound good or fall totally flat.) 🙂
