Healing Journey ~ update
Thanks so much for everyone’s good wishes on this, my latest journey. Sorry for not posting sooner; It’s been… just a little crazy for me. Have moved twice and I am finally settled in, and blessed with my first night of more than 3 hours sleep last night! A bit challenging for me here, navigating a new exciting city which happens to be super freezing and snowy right now…. and trying to get comfortable in my new living space here without all my stuff! Of course I especially miss my tub The One 🙂 along with many other comforts and routines of home.
My first week of working with the medical team here on biomechanical methods to reduce pain, and increase function has been promising. Gains will be slow, and I understand why, given my history and so many broken parts and faulty connective tissue, but I am thrilled to be working with this specialist. He is thoughtful, smart and honest, has made some new observations about my case and anatomy that nobody ‘s ever focussed on before. Turns out I do a lot of things right as far as posture, breathing and movement are concerned ~ but there are structural dysfunctions and , anatomical anomalies that are holding me in a state of injury and pain. We are hoping to make some headway over the next few weeks and send me home with insight and resources to get me to a better place… living in this lovely physical body of mine.
Refreshing to be in a new land ~ and focussed on this project. I miss you all so much, and have been reading everyone’s wonderful blog posts whenever I have the chance, as they never fail to lift me up.
Sending Lots of Love
and Light
to all
~

Robyn – You are so courageous to walk through the door and undertake this journey. Finding a safe and comfortable temporary place to call home is tough enough in normal times. Wishing you peace and harmony within your new home and the safety and comfort you need for healing to occur. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Stay safe.

So much thanks Sheri. You are always so encouraging. Yes — I never go far from my nest … so this is a big adventure for me. I’m adapting and some aspects are really lovely… hoping weather cheers up so I can get outside some too. Sending much love and light your way today and always ~x RL

So true Victoria! I finally sterilized ( good old bleach) the one here (kind of fussy about tubbing outside of my home)… That night I managed a candlelight soak was the first one I slept more than 3 hours… so important.. I also started dong dedicated before bed breath work and stretching routine which has helped. Jus the airplane travel alone did a number on me… Finally settling in — and hoping to learn more these next few weeks… Much Love and Light to you dear friend ~ x RL

Robyn,
Wonderful to hear from you and to learn that you’re feeling that these treatments will really help you.
Your attitude sounds positive and that’s a great step forward in any rehab or treatment venture. I do,
however miss seeing your posts/pictures. My hope for you is that this journey will give you a means
to deal with the pain and problems you’ve been facing and make it possible for you to have a better,
more full life. Please take care of yourself and stay in touch. Hugs!

Thank you sweet friend. I am hopeful, though clearly there are no easy fixes with my situation. Still, I’m open and receptive and want to learn whatever more I can to help improve my quality of life. I will try to post some fun stuff from here … have some photos I took before leaving or if weather cheers up ~ can explore some here (has been too snowy/icy and freezing)…. it’ s always healing for me to share here and interact with lovely souls like you. Blessings and Love ~ RL

Robyn this almost sounds as though some progress is being made… I realise it is a long up hill battle but it does sound positive and things could turn around or be more bearable in the future… this is marvelous news… and being away from home in a cold place cannot be pleasant, then one does want the comforts of home… but you grin and bear it as we all know you will .. and let progress be healing for you… love your way…

Thank you dear bulldog ~ a little early to sense progress… but remaining optimistic and hopeful, and like the specialist I’m working with a lot. I will take all the progress I can get! I’m settling in here…. some aspects are wonderful – and I’m experiencing city living which is so different than my norm. Finally sterilized the bathtub here too – so that is a big plus for me 🙂 One step at a time, as they say.. you be well and I’ll check in on you at your place soon too.
So much Love ~ RL

Thank you Renee… just getting adjusted. City life is so different. You would like it here… sort of like “Central Park” across the street… zoo, nature museum, etc. We are in for snow for quite a while though … freezing cold… I will do my best to figure out this body ~ one day at a time. Hope you are well… Love to you ~ x Robyn
