    • Thank you dear Tarek. Well, you inspired me to do a little bit of research on this topic of “Blue”. It is interesting to know that in many diverse cultures blue is significant in religious beliefs, and believed to bring peace and comfort.

Yet the color’s association with sadness, or melancholy seems to have originated in the 1500s “…an abbreviation of ‘blue devils’ hallucinations, like pink elephants, popularly believe to accompany delirium tremens. Since this time ~ we have ‘blues music’ (sad) and Picasso’s “Blue Period” ~ and of course our slang phrase — ‘feeling blue’ ….

Nevertheless ~ let us keep the spirit of blue as a soother and a healer. I see it that way as well. Actually chose a lovely shade of blue for the paint on my bedroom walls, and can attest ~ it’s a color of peace and love for me.

Appreciate the spark you offered for my more in depth seeking on the topic,
and so thrilled this was a “lift” for you as you began your day
~ hope it was a good one!
      Sending Love ~ R

  2. Yaz

Lovely words, Robyn. How did your doctor’s appointment go? How are you feeling? Where are you in your journey with poor health? I think of you a lot, and always wonder about how well you are doing.

    November 11, 2012 at 1:59 AM

    • Thank you Yaz ~ appreciate that!! It was a little bit disorienting… have not travelled in years ~ in some ways a lovely adventure. My daughter attends college in Boston where I was so was special to see her… still many puzzles to be solved on the medical front ~ but the surgeon I saw was a wonderful soul ~ so I am grateful for his keen interest in my complex case… Much Love dear one ~ R

  6. I am so glad to see a post from you… how did things go.?? Love the photo from the plane and of cause the words that go with it… but your health, all ok????

    November 11, 2012 at 3:04 AM

    • Thank you my dearest bulldog ~ 🙂 Happy to be home – was a hectic journey. I’m ok ~ but somewhat confused. More disparity among surgeon’s opinions on what my next step should be. This doctor was certainly a special kind soul ~ and took a ‘protective’ approach… I use the analogy like a “Fairy-God Father” type stance. He is older, and perhaps wise… but had hoped for more definitive direction… Still processing ~ will keep the hope ~ Sending lots of love to you and yours ~ Robyn

      November 11, 2012 at 11:31 AM

  7. That’s a gorgeous photograph. I can visualize where you were sitting to get this shot and what an amazing sky! How appropriate for the name of the airplane, lol. Nice choreography with blue as your focal point. But your words Robyn, such significance, such wistful longing. A meaning with great depth my dear friend! Much love to you ~ Penny, xox

    November 11, 2012 at 4:07 AM

    • Thank you Penny, my dear friend. It was actually a gorgeous view for me … very grateful. I love the feeling of being airborne!! The words — not sure where they came from … guess just had to ask my heart how I felt on that plane… and so easily the words appeared… confused but hopeful ~ looking through the blue;) Very pleased you could feel this too…. Much Love and appreciation always ~ Robyn

      November 11, 2012 at 11:33 AM

      • Everything going okay dear friend? Just checking in! Much love to you, Penny xox

        November 16, 2012 at 4:25 AM

      • Thanks dearest Penny ~ yes hanging in…just a bit consumed this week as neurologist is weaning me on to a new med targeted at altering a specific neurotransmitter receptor. Seems in addition to the mechanical, I have some CNS damage ~ adding another layer of pain. Would be great if this could turn the volume down at least…and can just focus on the mechanics. So appreciate your constant support ~ and love!!xxxoo Hugs to you and C!

        November 16, 2012 at 12:45 PM

      • I am most hopeful the med. has some positive results Robyn. Turning down the volume – yes that would be such an excellent thing, I am hopeful it will do so, will send positive energy your way today along with heartfelt thoughts. You are never far from my thoughts, most especially your “well being” dearest one. Much love to you also, Penny xxoxx, will pass on to Christina!

    Wonderful Haiku, Robyn.
Hope your consultation with the specialist went ok and he had some positive options to offer – have been thinking of you for days and sending healing thoughts across the miles. Hope the journey wasn’t too uncomfortable either – can’t imagine you sitting in a plane (or car) for too long.

  22. Oh. This picture reminds me of my flight in September to my nephew’s memorial service in California. I took quite a few similar shots over the North Sea. Beautiful striations and ribs of clouds, a lot of beauty in this world of ours, along with the pain and sadness. Hope all is well with you after Sandy.

  23. I have been thinking of you, Robyn. Being so close to my doorstep..in my old stomping grounds of Longwood. How has your journey been here? Hoping the Doc was able to give you some answers…praying for new discoveries of healing for you. Blessings to you, my friend, Erin

  25. Hi Robyn,
What a cool image that you captured through the window…I hope your trip was worthwhile….waiting to hear….xoxomeryl

    November 15, 2012 at 12:31 PM

    • Thank you Meryl ~ yes I thought pretty cool through glass for this much clarity and color. Trip was ok ~ but not a lot learned… and more uncertainty injected into my decision making… starting new approach with neurologist to try to reduce pain levels by blocking some receptor sites in brain… still too soon to tell. We will catch up soon ~ Much Love ~ R
