August 17, 2012 at 10:41 PM
Perfect shot and perfect haiku – the photograph makes me feel like I am flying. Robyn you are so bloody amazing!
August 17, 2012 at 10:52 PM
Thanks Julie… lucky shot for me- motion always a challenge . So glad you liked the haiku too… thought it fit the feeling of the image, and offered a major metaphor to mediate on. ‘Illusions of strife’… I know we could have a chat about that one day! Let’s keep looking for the light. Much Love xo R
August 17, 2012 at 11:03 PM
Oh so much love to you Robyn.
August 17, 2012 at 11:14 PM
So wonderful to be so free…thank you for this, Robyn. Blessings to you tonight, Erin
August 17, 2012 at 10:58 PM
Yes Erin – I agree!! We can look to this bird as a role model 🙂 So glad you enjoyed — and thank you dear one!! ~ Blessings and Love, R
August 17, 2012 at 11:06 PM
Wow, those clouds….wow…..they are beautiful. Looks like another planet. The angle very unique. I think the kinder the soul the more powerful the photos. Yours are so powerful. Love all birds, so this piece is like cotton candy sweet. Love to you, Sea Sis…very well done. and the poem’s message is wonderful. hugsssssssssss
August 17, 2012 at 11:01 PM
Thank you Sam! Yes – they were very fluffy/textured clouds — with a bright ray of sunshine penetrating … so special to see this bird heading for the “light” 🙂 So appreciate your loving comment about my images related to my soul-power!! Also glad you enjoyed the haiku message as well — Oh and… cotton candy — now you’ve not be craving… have not had in ages!! Love your way sea sis xo R
August 17, 2012 at 11:09 PM
The Seagull and the sky are of wonders, extraordinary shot, words that reflect a particular light coming out of your heart and mind.
Gracias mi amiga…
August 17, 2012 at 11:19 PM
Thank you so much Carlos my friend! So glad you liked this shot and found the words reflective of my light 🙂 You are a doll !! Gracias to you!
August 17, 2012 at 11:44 PM
I read the words in my email and thought “now what is she up to this time?” and went to the site and saw the photo and went “Wow”. Those clouds are amazing -it all describes transcendence so well.Feathers again.Be well.Fly high.
August 17, 2012 at 11:22 PM
You’ve go the laughing now… ‘what is she up to…’ 🙂 Yes – awesome looking clouds — sort of opaque and lots of dimension. I love clouds like that!! the light just glowed through — and this feathered creature just went right for it! ~ So glad you enjoyed Jane… Much Love~ R
August 17, 2012 at 11:45 PM
Beautiful image – what amazing texture in the clouds.
(hope you are ok, notice you haven’t been posting as much lately).
August 17, 2012 at 11:36 PM
Thanks Victoria – pretty cool clouds they were!! Lucky to catch this soaring gull with fair amount of clarity (for me!!) 🙂 I’m just needing to slow my positing down to every other – every third day. Various things going on here with the physical issues that are requiring my attention. I’m hoping to keep it steady though. So appreciate your thoughtfulness! xo
August 17, 2012 at 11:51 PM
Talk about a cauliflower cloud… what a magnificent cloud captured with such clarity, the bird an additional bargain… Robyn this is an outstanding capture… never seen a cloud look like that… a vegetable sky… and then three little lines that can satisfy a soul… you are so good at this you blessed person… Hugs from me…
August 18, 2012 at 12:22 AM
bulldog thanks so much! Love that term “cauliflower cloud” !! Yes – the bird drew me but the cloud could hold its own it seems 🙂 Thank you for your input. Glad you liked my haiku too… you are poetic “… can satisfy the soul” — I am convinced there is an inner-poet in there that you have just not allowed out!!! Soon I will be like Julie and nudge you till you post a poem of your own — 🙂 haiku is only 3 lines??!! So appreciate your praise and warm wishes … thank you for hugs — sending some right back to South Africa for you friend! Much Love ~
August 18, 2012 at 1:42 AM
Wow! That is one of the most beautiful photos ever! I see what you were saying about similarity but, Wow! not anymore…I just loved the Haiku and that perspective that you had was amazing and such a Blue, Blue sky. This one needs to be framed! (do you sell copies?) This wavelength thing is really amazing, we also had it with the “words”. Well, this was an inspiration, Thank you for it, All my Love to you, Linda
August 18, 2012 at 12:56 AM
Thanks so much for your loving comment Linda. I am so happy you enjoyed ~ and yes … in sync (re: wavelength). As for selling prints, have not really considered (though many have mentioned)… but would be delighted to send you original file of the image if you’d like to have it. 🙂 Would be my pleasure/honor. Let me know!! ~ much gratitude and love to you, Robyn
August 18, 2012 at 11:31 AM
so well-expressed, Robyn. Hope you had a good week
August 18, 2012 at 2:26 AM
Thank you dear nightlake! So happy you enjoyed. Also appreciate your good thoughts my way~ I’m still working on ‘ascending and transcending’ – but hanging in for sure~ 🙂
August 18, 2012 at 11:33 AM
Oh wow, cotton-feel clouds and majestic flight! 🙂
August 18, 2012 at 4:45 AM
🙂 Thank you Nandini!! Yes ~ another flight into cotton (you just reminded me of the Ladder to the Sun post) I must have a thing for cotton clouds!! Good thoughts your way today!! ~RL
August 18, 2012 at 11:35 AM
I imagined you lying down, transcending your pain and taking this shot. It’s beautiful and troubling.
August 18, 2012 at 6:48 AM
Thanks Yaz~ yes this one is a good meditation on ‘ascending and transcending’ and remembering all that ‘strife’ stuff is just an illusion ~ yes? Sometimes hard to embrace that truth, but certainly working on it all the time ~ Much Love to you ~ Robyn
August 18, 2012 at 11:36 AM
I envy birds. They have a whole different world.
This is just beautiful.
August 18, 2012 at 6:52 AM
So appreciate your thoughts WordsFallFromMyEyes!!! Yes – isn’t it amazing to consider the life and world of a bird!! The freedom and expansion that is their existence… amazing! So happy you enjoyed!! ~ Much Love, RL
August 18, 2012 at 11:41 AM
That is one beautiful and freeing shot. Well done!
August 18, 2012 at 7:19 AM
Thanks so much boomie ~ yes – I think that to focus on the freedom of this marvelous bird lifts us all up a tiny bit more ~ and helps make earthly woes seem less woeful!! Much Love dear one ~ RL
August 18, 2012 at 11:44 AM
Robyn Lee, This is indeed an inspiring photograph. The sea bird provides a point of focus and attention as I gaze at the blue of the sky and the fluffy clouds. The words which come to mind are ‘free spirit.’
August 18, 2012 at 8:16 AM
So much appreciate your thoughts here Margaret. I love to know how readers interpret posts like this. Am so glad you feel inspiration… and have to agree… the gull is small in contrast to the massive sky …but does bring our eye to focus and appreciate the contrast and the magic of nature. Yes — ‘free spirit’ ~ so can feel that too. Thank you so much and thrilled you enjoyed!! ~ Much Love, Robyn
August 18, 2012 at 11:48 AM
Robyn,
I of course am taken with the stunning image and the lyrical haiku.
I also think of that soaring bird. I often wish that I could for just one day be that bird, gliding above it all. What would she see? How would it feel?
The amazing thing is that you take us there in your creative work- your photos, your writing.
A great gift to us- and, I hope, to yourself.
Tom
August 18, 2012 at 9:18 AM
Thank you so much for that Tom…. yes – what would it be like to have that much freedom and expansion? I wonder the same. Does this bird even realize how free it is?… That is another question that comes to mind…. I am so happy you enjoyed, and felt connected to the post. Very flattered by your gracious comment today~ Much Love to you~ Robyn
August 18, 2012 at 11:53 AM
Cool clouds, Robyn….they look like whipped cream or maybe ricotta cheese…makes you want to jump right in….:)
August 18, 2012 at 9:24 AM
Thank you Meryl ~ wow – whipped cream or ricotta ! That is a new perspective on clouds 🙂 Yes — Let’s jump in!!! yummy!! xo
August 18, 2012 at 11:54 AM
Wonderful combination as always .. worthy of a postcard to god …
If you allow me to get technical (but please do not tell anyone I said so ) … i would reduce the sharpness and put clarity on 30 (if you are using lightroom) to intensify the fluffiness and transparency of the clouds edges.
August 18, 2012 at 10:33 AM
Thank you so much Tarek… will have to make it worthy of ‘sending to God’:) 🙂 … so although I don’t have lightroom, I reduced sharpness (to zero/iphoto) and since no specific clarity setting… I played with ‘definition’ setting. Also took the ’noise’ down so sky less grainy perhaps… Not sure if it’s the result you were going for… let me know. My “dark-room” skills are still evolving — so I really appreciate your input — love to learn!!! Much Love and Gratitude ~Robyn
August 18, 2012 at 11:24 AM
What a great haiku poem Robyn, If only we were able to join that bird in those mesmerising clouds.x
August 18, 2012 at 10:38 AM
Thanks so much Chris! I do know what you mean! Let’s use the photo and haiku to visualize it … and who knows!! As you say “It’s All About The Dreams” … Love the name of your new blog, and very glad you are back. Much Love friendx ~ Robyn
August 18, 2012 at 12:27 PM

August 18, 2012 at 3:11 PM
When I first saw the picture my first thought was WOW ! It speaks to me of freedom to just be!
August 18, 2012 at 12:57 PM
Thanks so much Patty! Yes – just to be…unencumbered and free – in lightness. Exactly 🙂 Sending Love xo
August 18, 2012 at 3:12 PM
Good evening oh greatly talented and gifted one. Of course I just finished looking at an incredibly beautiful photograph with a few well chosen, poetic and perfectly lovely words to go with – inspirational words to ponder while viewing the lovely picture of freedom (and those amazing clouds). I just love you so much. Robyn you are so you! It just shines through all that you do. On another note, has the new therapist been of some positve value for you? I am so hoping! much warmth and love your way my dear friend, xxx
August 18, 2012 at 10:44 PM
Oh thank you so much Penny… I somehow missed this comment this morning… but so appreciate your undying encouragement and love 😉 Glad you enjoyed the post … yes – hard to hide my ‘true self’ — have never been very good at that – and suppose my work here is one big mirror of my thoughts, dreams, hopes and fantasies 🙂 Will keep you posted on the new therapy – only 1 session thus far – so hard to judge. Had a bit of relief right after but the car ride home was enough to bring on an unwelcomed flare. Staying hopeful — tomorrow night I’ll try again…. Much Love dearest friend ~R
August 19, 2012 at 3:38 PM
I’ll keep my fingers crossed, say prayers and send positive thoughts (always good to work from all angles of perception :)) Much love returned to you my friend, Penny

August 19, 2012 at 3:41 PM
Words cannot express how very way MUCH I love the adventures you take me, us, all on with your words and the view from your eyes (your exquisite photos)!! It is something so rare and beautiful in a dark place pulling me, willingly, into the light of love!
I have a few angry poems that came out from that interaction I shared with you. BUT…I’m so infatuated with your photos I don’t even want to go to ‘that place’ right now. I believe I have written my ‘soul dream’ as an accompaniment to your gorgeous photos….I’m going to post tonight!! So very excited for this collaboration! Words won’t allow me to share how much this means to me. Thank you again sweetest friend for being so beautiful (inside and out), for your love and encouragement and being so very wonderfully uniquely you! Sending so so SO much love!!! xoxoxo
August 19, 2012 at 6:07 PM
So excited…. and if I can help pull you into lightness, there is no greater reward to me Christina!! I know sometimes we have to ‘hang out’ in the darkness for a bit.. but just for a short while hopefully – and then those baby steps heading toward a better place are such wonderful steps indeed!!! Cannot wait to see your post ~ so very happy the photos could inspire this “soul dream’ piece for you~~ Yes – so special to collaborate this way. I can’t wait to see!!! xxooo Tons of Love and Lightness!!! xo
August 19, 2012 at 9:58 PM

August 19, 2012 at 4:34 AM
So glad. Thanks so much poojy!! xo
August 19, 2012 at 11:30 AM
I love this so very much. I have written a couple of posts that are lessons I have learned from seagulls. I love clouds, I’m a cloud watcher, I collect clouds. I have a whole album of photos I have collected of the sky and the cloud formations. I call it…”Collecting clouds it’s less clutter” I like to collect but I’m aware that I can hoard so have taught myself ways of condensing the things I love.
Love and hugs to you lovely Robyn. Lisa. xxx 🙂
August 19, 2012 at 11:04 AM
Thank you so much dear Lisa! I agree- so much to learn from our animal friends… seagulls included! Your cloud album sounds soooo awesome. Sounds like the perfect way to stay tidy and organized and still get to “collect” — I may need to try!! Much Love your way always ! R
August 19, 2012 at 11:36 AM
Oh my gosh, Robyn! This photo was divinely inspired through your fingertips! It is so vivid and gorgeous, and no one could have fathomed better, more choice words than what you connected to the photo with. Ahhhh, it is always a pleasure to receive from the bounty of your heart and spirit my beautiful friend! I am so happy to have this blessing today, and will reflect on the image and the words you have blessed us with here….Superbly and geniously done……
xoxo

Goodness…both your pieces from this weekend…lovely. This one was so ‘transcending.’ Left me hanging in the blue of it. The other…for many of us, yes, we were touched at a tender age by the wilderness and marked by it. Love that. Hugs to you Robyn.
August 20, 2012 at 3:20 PM
Thanks so much Lady Day ~ So happy you enjoyed both — and could remember that mark of nature. I didn’t grow up in a very “natural” environment….but the bits I did get exposed to (ocean beaches and occasional forest) had such a huge impact on me. Always knew I wanted to live at the shore — was my dream. Hard to believe it was one that came true too 🙂 xo
August 20, 2012 at 4:36 PM
🙂 Well, look at that…some dreams do come true. Nature is what we were designed for and it us…we would all fare so much better if everyone got that. It is good you saw that children, untainted as yet by greed get it. Very lovely indeed.
August 20, 2012 at 5:37 PM
🙂 thanks LD — it is encouraging to know dreams can come true!! Of course when my husband was starting his career I made sure to follow up on every opportunity that was close to gorgeous beaches – so I had a hand in it — but hey!! ~ So amazing that my kids got to have a childhood of this!! xxoo
