Dark Embrace
Will You
show
me
~
your
deepest
darkest
side
~
where
roots
~
writhe
and
hide
~
where
your
selves
~
collide?
~~~
Will You
let
me
~
touch
~
the
part
of
~
you
~
that
resists
~
its
source
~
and
~
obscures
~
your
view?
~~~
Will You
meet
me
~
in
between
the
~
space
~
where
light
projects
~
Love
…
in
your
shadow’s
~
embrace.

Solitary Sunset
Alone
at
last
~
I’m
on my
way
~
Our
Rendezvous
~
Down
by the
bay;
~
Please
wait for
me
~
Will
be there
soon
~
Been
counting
minutes
~
All
afternoon;
~
Your
fiery
touch
~
Your
golden
soul
~
Your
love
~
that
melts
~
the
bitter
cold;
~
Oh
Darling
~
I
Anticipate
~
That
haunting
thrill
~
Predestined
fate;
~
And
always
~
When
the
day
~
is
through,
~
there’s
nothing
~
I
want
~
more
than
~
YOU!

blessing written by John O’Donohue,
from his beautiful book:
Anam Cara
for a wonderful holiday,
and a new year rich with
Peace, Love, Health
and Joy!
Emerging
And just like the
Water Lily
Are you not simply
Waiting?
~
Waiting
For
That one perfect
Moment
When
You feel ready
To
Emerge
~
Fully
~
Vibrantly
~
Into the
Luminous
Space
~
Into the
Light
~~
Where
You
Shine

I Want To Know
It doesn’t interest me if there is one God
or many gods.
I want to know if you belong or feel
abandoned.
If you know despair or can see it in others.
I want to know
if you are prepared to live in the world
with its harsh need
to change you. If you can look back
with firm eyes
saying this is where I stand. I want to know
if you know
how to melt into that fierce heat of living
falling toward
the center of your longing. I want to know
if you are willing
to live, day by day, with the consequence of love
and the bitter
unwanted passion of your sure defeat.
I have been told, in that fierce embrace, even
the gods speak of God.
~David Whyte
This poem entitled, Self Portrait was written by David Whyte, and is an excerpt from his book
Fire In The Earth. It resonated with me as I reflected upon my feature image today, which portrays my own shadow during a visit to the woods, where I often go to contemplate life’s hard questions. Hope you enjoyed.
Much Love ~ RL
