Gratify
“I come
To answer thy pleasure; be’t to fly,
To swim, to dive into the fire, to ride
On the curl’d clouds, to thy strong bidding task…”

I have never seen this quote and I am an English literature teacher – ha! Perfect for the exhilarating photograph Robyn. Jxx

Yes Julie… I was reading a little of Shakespeare – The Tempest (very little 🙂 ) – and came across these words (i believe it was Act I scene II) , when the spirit guide, Ariel, said this to Prospero, the consummate magician. Thought the match with this energized photo was fitting. Something about the ocean pre-storm just conjures up feelings of spirit guides and supernatural forces. So glad you enjoyed it Julie ~ You are in my heart as always!!! xo

Cat — I wish you could dive in through that screen of yours and visit this massive wonder-filled sea with me!!! 🙂 Thank you for your lovely words — a photo can never adequately capture the expanse and magic that the glorious sea projects in person, but I do try my best to generate just a little bit of that feeing/sensation/emotion in my images – and YES – GRATIFY 😉 ! This was pre-sotrm and there was a lot of energy to be felt. I’m so glad you were able to sense it. Sending Love and wishes for a day filed with awe ~ RLxo

Ahhh Shakespeare…makes me want to dive into his work….what a perfect match!!!!
July 8, 2012 at 11:46 AM
Yes Meryl… I grew up with Shakespeare recited to me on a regular basis thanks to our beloved Angelo (2nd Dad) …. always seems like a foreign language to me, though these words by Sprit ~Ariel were perfectly clear, and spoke so well to the image at hand…. Love when that happens!! Smiles to you today xo

July 9, 2012 at 2:05 AM
Thank you Sam! I do lots of ocean shots – but this one really spoke to me 🙂 Yes – lots of layers, contrasting colors and motion and the sky pattern mimics the sea’s ~ ocean sister blows you a kiss! 🙂
July 9, 2012 at 10:53 AM
This is truly the most spectacular ocean and sky photo that I have ever seen. You were meant to be there, to so artfully capture this moment. I am so very thankful that you have. I can practically smell the air and hear the waves. It sends me! Thank you!
July 9, 2012 at 8:58 PM
Thanks so much Gina. What a wonderful thing to hear!! Yes – it really did seem to call me that day. Something spiritual about the capture — and thus the quote I chose. Very thrilled you enjoyed it so much ~ Blessings and Love to you always 🙂 ~ RL

Thank you Celeste — yes this is one of my favorite ocean shots too ~~ the many dimensions and layers still knocks me over when I look at it. Also — I thought of you when I chose this quote by Shakespeare… something about it reminded me of your writing!!I was attracted to it just as I am your work 😉 So glad you enjoyed – and looking forward to your 4th installment as I am very intrigued by this angel you have so wonderfully depicted !! 😉

Beautiful Robyn. So very interesting how the terrestrial waves seem to be mirrored by waves of fluffy clouds in the heavens. I wish for you a day free of pain, to walk freely under the white waves of the sky and within the cool waves of the sea, grains of fine sand churning around your toes. Thinking of you today, my friend!
July 11, 2012 at 10:17 AM
Thank you so much KT! I did noticed this mirrored effect of the clouds — amazed me actually. So appreciate your loving wishes ~ have not been back to the beach in some time, unfortunately… trying to tame this body that has a mind of its own and has been acting our with increased pain limiting my activity a lot. I love the image of the soothing sea churning around my toes though — so incentive to heal up and get back there! ~ Much Love to you ~ RL
