Hope & Healing Through Photography and Poetic Expression

Classic Joy

In that pure perfect zone
Excited and free,

Wet luscious sand
Meets a vibrating sea;

Senses are flowing
Sights, textures, and sound,

 As he makes his great mark,
In God’s timeless
playground.

  1. I just adore your poetry… always goes so well with the photo and has so much deep, thought provoking effect on me….

    • That is just so heartwarming to hear from you bulldog! These fun rhymes are usually very quick to come… and unplanned. I wasn’t planning a post tonight, but read an article that a fellow-blogger posted (about photographing children and the emotive effect the images have) and then went to my recent captures to find this sweet scene – and then the rhyme just wrote itself. Thank you so much for your loving encouragement. Means a lot to me 🙂 Warm wishes~ RL

  4. this place, this magnificent blue planet …. it can be a grand playground indeed, oh if everyone could come to this realization and just sing along to the song …. ” what a wonderful world this could be ….”, a magnificent choir filling space with compassionate harmony for the entire solar system to dance along to …. a jukebox tickling the universe to waves upon waves of smiles ….:)

  8. Lots of energy here, Robyn. And the drama of the light works well. I especially like how the shadow in the foreground mimics the figure…lovely composition and yes, such a sense of joy….

    July 6, 2012 at 4:55 AM

    • Thank you Meryl. Yes – I thought so too on the energy. I worked on bringing an antique/vintage effect to the palate. Took on a that nostalgic ambiance which made me think of classic and timeless things like the beach. I’m glad you liked, and appreciated the composition. Much Love ~

  26. Lovely poem! I love the classic, vintage, yet timeless feel of your photo. Perfectly captures the symbolic eternal playground of childhood, both our own and the ever rotating literal flux of children playing through the childhoods of their own lives.

    July 11, 2012 at 10:22 AM

    • You my friend have a gift of tremendous poetic expression. I love your insight into this image… “both our own and the ever rotating literal flux of children playing through the childhoods of their own lives.” …. Wow… very deep and moving to think about that ~ they are riding the waves of their youth each day … Thank you for such a thought provoking insight today KT – you are very special! ~ RL
