My Blessed Tub
When the going gets rough,
I light a candle, turn on some
soul-soothing music, and soak in a
hot saltwater bath.
It’s such an important ritual for me, one I return to over and over again each night.
Last night I was especially blessed to have a full moon, and mesmerizing clouds floating peacefully in my window’s view.
Today was a better day…and thus, I wanted to share.
Love & Gratitude to all~

Looks like a nice place to be…good for you. 🙂

I am glad to hear that you had a better day!! Wasn’t that such an awesome moon. Nice that we were both enjoying it.
Sending LOVE

Hey Tara Thanks! Moon was amazing last night!! Yes – with the help of lot tons of good energy from everyone, and a return to Neurontin… and of course my baths 🙂 Hoping I can maintain. The steroids from the block threw me for a loop!! Pain levels still have a ways to go – but thankful for a human day! ps: added a song i listen to in the tub ( end of post) if you are interested… Sending LOVE!

I love the song. Thank you. I’ll be humming good thoughts for you 🙂 xo

This song has saved me Tara. I sing it to myself while I’m in the MRI machines! Even my daughters have adopted it as a stess-escape tool. Stumbled on it years ago – and just stuck in my head. I have a bunch of her music on my i phone 🙂 Sendiing Love…

Hmm now I soak the meaning of tubing. Robyn (and I say this with excitement) good for you!
How evolving and personal my friends blogs are becoming. Layer after layer unfolding! – – Up State correct?
The framed windowsills twinkles my past. . Enjoy your well deserved soak : )
May 8, 2012 at 12:12 AM
Thanks you Mari. Yes – I feel like this WordPress is a neighborhood of sorts and we are all becoming more at ease and can open and share with greater comfort now… I don’t know how many layers I can reveal, but this one just felt right. Up State – do you mean where I reside? No it’s actually an area 2 hours from NYC — a resort community on Eastern Long Island. I live here year round though. I like the twinkles (windowsills) though — the windows do seem to evoke that kind of sensation 🙂 Love my soaks!! ps: added a song to my post that I listen to in the tub if you are interested….Hypnotic and spiritual (Ong Namo). Sending you good thoughts tonight and always!!

Looks heavenly, Robyn. I couldn’t do without my morning soak in a tub full of hot water – it does wonders for the back pain and stiffness when I get up each morning. I hate the rare times I have to shower – it’s just not the same pleasure for the soul, or provide the same depth of back plain relief.
So glad to hear you’re having a better day.
May 8, 2012 at 12:17 AM
Thanks Victoria – yes heavenly — look forward to these moments in my tub. I never tried a morning soak but maybe should consider. It’s all about winding down and closure for the day. Wish I could say I got pain relief, but mostly it’s meditative time for me to center myself. I do yoga type stretches in the water too… and that is always wonderful. Appreciate your good thoughts for me. Sending them right back to you!

How lovely!
May 8, 2012 at 12:25 AM
Thank you Julie… it is. Highly recommend 🙂 Do you soak? Of course the moon doesn’t usually make an appearance like last night – but still a wonderful ritual … sending Love!! RL
May 8, 2012 at 1:37 AM
Unfortunately we don’t have a bath – only a shower!
May 8, 2012 at 2:04 AM
Showers can be very effective too Jules. My morning shower is a major meditation (1.5 hours +) 🙂

Oh my God…You’re right where you should be,,,This is pure heaven, Robyn and I’m glad you’re having a slice:)))))
May 8, 2012 at 6:11 AM
Yes totally – It’s like a vitamin pill for me — treasured evening ritual. Thank you David:)

A really beautiful image. An environmental portrait of sorts which succeeds on so many levels. You are truly blessed with a good eye and a sensitivity to your surroundings.
May 8, 2012 at 7:39 AM
Thank you Jill! I had absolutely no intention of taking this photo btw:) My music was playing on my iphone on the tub platform and as I settled into the water and gazed at that moon – I was jolted out of my “meditative state”!! Of course the photo obsessed person in me automatically reached for the camera (phone) – and (after drying my wet hands) began snapping away at the moon). I’m so glad you thought it succeeds on many levels – as photographically I’m so spoiled by having natural lighting for most all my images. I could not resist the mood though — and sharing what to me is such an essential healing ritual. Sending Love! RL

Looks and feels yummy…and the moon….wonderful…
May 8, 2012 at 8:10 AM
Oh the moon was just unworldly in that setting. Unexpected and wonderful, yes! Thanks Meryl!
May 8, 2012 at 10:57 AM
That looks very relaxing. I haven’t listened to my music in a while.
May 8, 2012 at 9:45 AM
Good reminder then Renee! I know how much u enjoy the yoga and meditative music too! Xo

We know what made the night so nice, we finally saw each other after a few years!!!! Seeing my friend of about 33 years is always soothing to me. Love you!!!!!!!
May 8, 2012 at 6:20 PM
😉 Aww… Yes Ron, I did consider that you brought me some good energy when you came by!! Thank you, and yes — something very special about childhood bonds, and especially ours. Only wish I was the “real” me – so we could get into mischief together once again. For now, I’ll be grateful you understand my plight. Love you too!
May 8, 2012 at 8:36 PM
I took a bath last night after finishing my sirloin steak. Was not as “pretty” as your photo, but it doesn’t take much to make a man happy.
May 8, 2012 at 9:03 PM
😉 I bet it was a wonderful bath jeb (and a yummy steak too)! If you close your eyes – it’s as “pretty” as you make it — right? I’m glad you liked the post ~ and thanks for visiting!
May 8, 2012 at 9:21 PM
you do know that the moonlight shining through the window there adds some extra special magic to the water …
my compliments to the architect who designed that bathroom and of course to you Robyn for the awesome share once again,
best thoughts and wishes being sent your way as always …:)
May 8, 2012 at 9:09 PM
Yes — I hoped that amazing moon would shine some miracle energy into my water! Thanks Jim – I love my bathroom too ~ especially the tub. So glad you liked the post, just felt right to share a tiny ritual that is so important to me. Wonder if it inspired anyone to try a candlelit bath tonight 🙂 Sending good wishes your way !
May 8, 2012 at 9:59 PM
I always take a shower – haven’t taken a bath in years! But this post makes me reconsider…
May 9, 2012 at 10:43 AM
😉 Get some Epsom salts too fotografzahl – I’m a shower in the morning girl myself – need that pounding massage action and showers can’t be beat for the “feel clean” experience,…baths are about unwinding, relaxing and mediation for me. So 2 different experiences – go for it…and Thanks for your great comment!
