Hope & Healing Through Photography and Poetic Expression

Pre-Season

The empty homes along the shore,
sit and watch their own front doors.

They know it’s spring and soon to come,
are summer dwellers, waves and fun.

Their peaceful life upon the sand,
will be transformed into party-land.

With music, grills and games galore,
their quiet life will be no more.

    • Thanks Dean… so much changes here between Winter and Summer. We are sort of in the ‘anticipation’ mode right now!

    • Ahhh.. in Florida I imagine Spring Break is a little bit like our summer season. I had taken the winter shot (link at bottom of post) in February, and then thought I’d follow up with spring, summer and fall to share the gift in energy through the photographs. Tranquil still now – but wait till Summer Season post — a whole new wold ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks always David!

  4. This post reminded me of the island where we go to off-season where it is quiet and pretty laid-back. Comes summer, it is one big party land where we never want to be caught into. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    • Thanks Meryl. Yes –certainly never dull:) What I’m not loving is hearing all the construction and lawn guys readying the homes for summer season. Glad you liked the contrasting posts…planning a summer and fall as well – might add interest to our blog friends across the country or world!!

  6. This week, the time passed very quickly. As the sand can not get their hands on. Getting to your blog is like down time so you can see what the speed of time will not let me see.
Still I could not publish the award gives me. The hardest part is deciding to another blogger who I will spend this beautiful award.
    Adiรณs Amiga…

    • Oh Carlos…it took me a very long time to finally assemble the awards post – so no pressure and take your time. There is no deadline and some chose not to participate at all. It’s your honor to enjoy. Thanks for all your encouragement and support….and relax this weekend! Adios Amigo!
