Love’s Wings
Guide the way,
I’m by
your
side
~
We’ll fly
beyond a
vast red
sky;
~
Above
the sea’s
ecstatic
waves
~
Around
a solar
flame
engraved;
~
You won’t
see me, but
feel my
fire
~
Pure heat that
fuels your
soul’s
desire;
~
There are no
rules, nor
risk…or
will
~
On
wings
of
love
~
where
worlds
stand
still.

The photograph is spectacular Robyn. Excellent. I’d like to have been standing there in the moment and felt the rays while viewing such glorious color. With a lovely poem matching the moment so precisely dearest friend of mine. I love this one. Truly inspiring (of course), much love to you, Penny xo
March 16, 2013 at 2:42 AM
It was a pretty spectacular moment Penny ~ thank you! Our winter sunsets here are actually my favorite to photograph. There is something about the winter lighting that is unique in this land. I should research why, but have heard it from other photographers as well. Almost magical skies … So happy you enjoyed in conjunction with the inspired poem (btw – the little bird is what inspired my poem most … but doubt anyone has noticed him )
🙂 Love to you my beautiful friend ~ RL
March 16, 2013 at 11:49 AM
Alas I did not notice him Robyn, his freedom to fly in the setting sun was missed because of the beauty of the sun overpowering the simply beauty of that which was so inspiring to you. As you and I both have witnessed before, the rare and special beauty of life’s riches lay in the simple things so frequently missed. Thank you for pointing him out to me bestest friend of mine! You are much loved, Penny xo
March 16, 2013 at 2:34 PM
Now reading the words and anticipating the photo.. I guessed it was a sunset or sunrise.. and then to see I was right gave me pure delight… but oh wow damn .. what a marvelous photo accompanying such marvelous words… Awe struck as usual by your creativeness.. damn your good..
March 16, 2013 at 3:34 AM
Ahhh – interesting that this time you guessed! I think maybe I’m getting to be predictable then …uh oh?!! It is a very pretty scene, if I do say so myself. And inside info – it was the bird in flight (did you see him?) who inspired the words —the sunset was just the ‘chorus’ for me here 🙂 ~ So grateful for your wonderful comment my friend ~ Love to you ~ RL
March 16, 2013 at 11:52 AM
I did spot the bird but my eye was so drawn to that almost sheen on the water,, that just blew my socks off that i never connected the bird to the words… damn caught out again.. so you see your not predicable… love to you..
March 16, 2013 at 12:05 PM
😉 ~ oh I’m so relieved— don’t want things to get boring around here – ya know ~ lol!!! xRL

Ruth, thank you so much dear friend… I’m thrilled you enjoyed 🙂 ~ xo RL
March 16, 2013 at 11:55 AM
Thanks for uploading the shot at full resolution – it’s a remarkable, stunning and professional image (even if the downloading reminded me of a rusty old 33kb modem circa 1989). Paired with your poem I would call this a good day’s work – a satisfying thought I’m sure. Great stuff Robyn
March 16, 2013 at 7:30 AM
Thank you Mike! Interesting you mentioned the resolution. I was going to watermark photo as I usually do, and every time I uploaded the watermarked shot – I was disturbed by the way the tiny bird in flight appeared. It was as though the watermark process totally reduced the clarity and definition… something I’d not noticed before. So since I’m not major proprietary about my photos anyway, I decided to use the original file and forgo the watermark in exchange for preserving this bird’s integrity in the photo (the bird was my muse actually 🙂 ) … So sorry for the slow download though – but hope it was worth the wait ~ Thrilled you enjoyed the package my friend… Much Love on this weekend ~ RL

March 16, 2013 at 9:05 AM
Thanks so much Victoria — just had a little exchange with Mike…and maybe you would know from photo perspective … when we “watermark” our photos do we sacrifice clarity and definition? I opted not to watermark this one because each time I did – I noticed my little bird in flight lost integrity there… now wondering what I’ve sacrificed in the past having used the watermark — or if it is the watermark program I’m using … hmmm?? So happy you enjoyed — and appreciate always ~ RLx
March 16, 2013 at 12:05 PM
To be honest, I have no idea Robyn.
On my old desktop, I used the Picasa ‘signature’ tool in the bottom right hand corner and never ever noticed a lack of clarity in my own photos, but it might have been too subtle for my poor vision to see (although I can tell when my focus is a bit ‘softer’ or ‘blurred’ when I review my images on the large 27″ screen).
If I thought you’d done something weird in a photo, I would probably tell you (in an email, not in your comments section).

March 17, 2013 at 3:01 PM
Hi Linda… I just found a few messages of yours sitting in my pending folder. Not sure why your comments are being held for approval but I will keep an eye out for them from here on.
I am having ups and downs and all-arounds — not very sure of much here…I know you asked about the autonomic nervous system above.. YES – it is a huge issue for me. When my muscles clamp down over nerves and blood vessels (especially in the neck/head area)… it causes a whole cascade of issues – carotid artery is impacted, bloodflow to head, euststacian tubes etc. All systems get hit and until I get the joints where they belong, and he muscles to tame – I feel very much like something ominous is happening (vision is effected, heart rate skyrockets, eating and sleeping impossible etc.).. No medication helps this…to me it is akin to some kind of seizure… (funny because my sister’s dog has hip dysplasia an when her hip slips out of socket… she has a true seizure every time <goes to show how the nervous system reacts to our muscle/skeletal status)… for me it's always a matter of working the joints/muscles to get things in their proper place … I usually can feel something "pop" back in place and then everything calms down. So the work I'm doing (from my Chicago training) is intended to help me keep things stable and control my movement patterns to stay "in" more — thus less autonomic and less damage/injury too. It really is an entirely differnt kind of approach to pt than anything I've experienced… have been through dozens an dozens of pt programs over 20 years. … Oh on the ball – it is one tool used to help teach the brain to allow the limbs muscles (front of thigh) to let go and allow the femurs to "drop back" into their sockets… There is visualization and breathwork that goes with the elevation — and then movement (extension of legs) is incorporated too. As a progression we take the ball away and teach me to do the same thing without it, and with legs elevated in air being held by the deep abdominal muscles (transverse) – initiating movement from proper muscles (not the front of hip)… Let me know how you are doing ~ glad you liked my Love's Wings Sunset … it's a pretty beach here near my house. Sending so much love and prayers for your continued recovery xo RL
