This is a pleasant surprise. I lost contact for a while because I changed my settings and wasn’t hearing from anyone. Then I got over 586 emails all at once. That was pretty freaky. It is all normal again. Really like this. love Jane

Jane – so happy all resolved ~ 586 emails might send me out the window!!
Thank you so much dear friend – and welcome back!! xo

Perfect words to go with that image, Robyn.
Hope you’re experimenting with that new DSLR – my first shot with mine was a flower on my desk (back in Jan 2011). I taped a large piece of sketching paper to my monitor and let it curve gently down to provide a seamless background to the flower bloom.
January 3, 2013 at 6:43 AM
Thanks so much Victoria~ was an image I’d had for a bit and was waiting for words to occur to me 🙂 Yes — experimenting with new camera lots ~ and taking your practical good advice. Today was first time I took it for a mile long walk in freezing forest ~ and as you – held it in front of me, rather than let it weigh down the neck/shoulder which have been in rare form taking lessons from my lovely hips. Still a long way to go with learning curve, but was a lot of fun to click click click 🙂 Sending Love ~ R

How you continue to make posts of this standard amazes me… such beautiful words and such a picture… I wish you were here in the Kalahari to put words to the scenery that I’m struggling to photo… Love it.. really do… Off to the Kalagadi transfrontier park today for hopefully some Lion and Gemsbok photos…

I’m in awe of your work, really.
Quite the inspiration to put paint to canvas.
Your pictures are stunning.
January 4, 2013 at 12:34 AM
Thanks so much Shackled ~ I am so glad you are enjoying — welcome. Oh ~ these are photos — have never attempted painting … but can see how you might think this one is canvas — it’s done with a special lens on the camera (fish eye) so gives a surreal illusion for sure — Love to you and sending warm wishes today ~ Robyn

January 6, 2013 at 10:39 AM
Robyn this is just so very intriguing to me. The colors and contrasts, the textures and shapes all lend themselves to the organic quality of which you speak. Your poetry is divine. As always the blending of your beautiful words, and their delicate rhyming with the photograph is a pure delight! Much much love dearest friend, Penny xox
January 6, 2013 at 2:26 AM
Penny ~ so glad you enjoyed this. Yes — lots of sensual stimuli out there in the wild isn’t there!! Of course looking through the fish-eye lens really accentuates the details — so gives us more focus on these ‘organic’ treats I think. Very grateful you liked my rhyming poem too — just something fun and light for all of us! You are the delight ~ Much Love — Robyn
January 6, 2013 at 10:44 AM
Your poetry to me Robyn is a combination of light and delicate, ethereal probably works better and delight was more an expression for my pleasure of you, you have a nature gift when it comes to poetry my dearest friend, Penny xox

Love the patience and delicacy expressed here, dear Robyn…sorry I haven’t been online much in the last weeks….seems I’ve been taking a computer break…would love to see your face sometime soon…xoxomeryl
January 7, 2013 at 8:59 AM
Thanks Meryl — maybe you meant to put this comment on my Rose post (Unfolding)… this one not so delicate -more earthy I think 🙂 Yes – have been nutty here too — planning to move to Chicago I think for a spell – to try another rehabilitation doctor and program. Have to do something before resorting to more surgery. Will tell you more when we catch up… Love to you ~ x
January 7, 2013 at 4:10 PM
Yes, I thought I was responding to the Rose image…Chicago? that’s unexpected, will wait to hear the details…xoxm

January 7, 2013 at 11:01 PM
Amazing photo. Looks like it was taken through a magnify glass.
January 8, 2013 at 10:40 AM
Thanks so much Kim. Hope you are feeling a bit of a shift. Was worried about you 😦 ~ Yes – sort of surreal effect for this image. I used a fish-eye lens actually to achieve it – but does almost look like a magnifier! Sending lots of love and healing wishes ~ Robyn
