  3. Are you walkin’ around in my head again Robyn?? lolol…gorgeous capture here, and your words…so beautifully introduce your image. I dare to say, an alter ego self portrait? 😉 The Fall semester has begun here, so my apologies for not getting back to your delightful comments on my blog! I have read them on my phone, but I am buried in research and paper (I think my English professor has singled me out…she has nearly just come right out and said as much! lolol..such a motivator for me to see you posting and responding Robyn, I may be intermittent on the blog, but always keep an eye out for your amazing posts, images, and absolutely delightful way you have words and imagery…addictive I could say. So very much I could add to this post of your’s dear Robyn, but research and writing calls (several due in the morning!), my best to you, as always!

    • 😉 Thank you dear Stan… so flattered that you find artistry in my humble creativity here. One day maybe I will train as well… and who knows what that may bring. Yes ~ always something of my alter -ego in these posts isn’t there… though I have one with a hint of erotic built in ~ that was not intended to be … so when you see it (it involves food) keep in mind, and be kind!!! 😉 I took the shot – and then stumbled on a poem I will pair — which gives the image a whole other dimension . LOL! So glad you enjoyed this one though… and I am rooting for you this semester… I’m sure your English professor will be enchanted!! Keep me posted – and I expect straight As young man!! Sending Love ~ R

  5. Wow that is such a lovely photo… and here I was thinking you’re heading into winter and us summer… magnificent… and of course you some how manage to turn a photo like that into something special with just three lines of verse… you amaze me… greetings my special friend…

    October 5, 2012 at 12:17 AM

    • Thank you dearest friend…Yes — we are into the fall season now ~ so this was the last of our blooms… I’d had it a bit and felt compelled to post it tonight along with my haiku poem. So thrilled you enjoyed… you are always such an inspiration.. x R ps: wow …Looked up: The goddess named Tanit that you suggested as a name for the lovely Sea Dragon Penny drew for me… So touched, she was described as a warrior – and in case you did not see comment on her blog… One summary said ~
“Tanit is the Phoenician myth name of a goddess of love, the moon and the stars, possibly meaning “serpent lady”. In Egyptian her name means “land of Neith.” Beautiful – and will hold that image in my heart now. Thank you for such a gift ~ RL

      • You are such a special person and in your own way an aid to so many others,,, I read all the comments on your posts and behind the lines, so many are getting something out of them… you see even your misfortune is an inspiration for some one else… I see it in Linda as well… her adversity is all for a reason, its made her special to other sufferers…

  8. Gorgeous Photo! And I love the words…’Becoming with Grace’, so soft, trusting and loving….what a true state of unfolding beauty and essence of the Rose, so sacred; image of the Heart….and Ourselves………….Love, Linda

    October 5, 2012 at 2:41 AM

    • Thank you so much dear Linda. ‘Becoming with Grace‘ – is something I try to remember in all facets of my life. So no mater what is transpiring — I can expand and trust, allow that unfolding and move forward with as much Love & Grace as possible. The Rose symbolizes that open heart ~ Love and Gratitude for you ~ RL

  9. A lovely family of roses is the best morning gift .. Thank you, i take this as a personal gift .. We are delivered from one fading hope to another budding hope , an open hear will be always fresh with hope …. The photo is embrassing with this composition filling the view, the photo is so genuine with the unaltered angles of the roses.. I am glad you did not mist the petals .. The light is so beautifully reflecting the softness of the petals , I can almost feel it .. Did you use a flash with a reflector or was it noon time … By the way what is your gear … A part from your creative eyes and hopeful heart .. And off course your pain ..

    October 5, 2012 at 2:50 AM

    • And yes Tarek — for you a personal morning gift. “…We are delivered from one fading hope to another budding hope…” ~ this sums it up so beautifully. I try to remember. So pleased you found the technical aspects of my photograph appealing – as you know by now… I pay such little attention to such, when I’m under the spell of my healing lens! Must admit, I also liked the reflection of light upon the petals’ imperfect, but sensual textures. … Now if you think I used a flash and reflector — no way my friend– you have to know I don’t bother with those things!! One day, I will need to train and hone my skills…. but for now — it’s rather raw work you are seeing here. As for time — it was evening — maybe 6 pm or so?.. so maybe I just got lucky on lighting… My gear? Well.. I will let you guess — but I expect you may already know, as you mostly summed it up in your last few sentences…. nothing more powerful. Thank you for your very thoughtful, and most endearing comment. I always appreciate you ~RL

  11. Yaz

What’s lovely is the aura of the roses. I love it when I can see the auras clearly!

    October 5, 2012 at 4:43 AM

    • Yes … Yaz i noticed the aura too! Do you see it as a soft translucent light pink color? That is what I perceive. Everything I read about auras seems to refer to people… I am not sure how to contemplate the aura of a rose… here is what I just found on pale pink aura:

“Pale Pink: Although not very far from dusty pink, a pale pink Body Aura is a world away in meaning. It is a true love which is entwined with the intellect as well as the physical and emotions. It is the subject expressing through their Aura, their meeting of minds with a ‘soulmate’.”

      How lovely is that?!
Thank you dearest Yaz, for inspiring me to go deeper into this — Much Love your way ~xo
