  1. You are so good at marrying your words with images – amazing girl you are!

    July 10, 2012 at 3:18 AM

    • Thanks so much Julie… this was a 2 am inspiration 🙂 Photo is a few weeks ago now but it was nice to return there with this post!!

      July 10, 2012 at 11:00 AM

      • I bet you have a lot of 2amish inspirations due to your ongoing health issues.

        July 10, 2012 at 11:11 AM

    • So true…and lots of 3 am sessions of rolling around on the floor violently trying to smash muscle knots away. At least the blog stuff keeps me focussed on my creative side some of the time, and doesn’t cause the bruising. BTW, finishing up another pain post that describes (in as poetic a way as I could manage) some of what I encounter physically and how I attempt to find relief. More verbally descriptive than my usual…. so for me a little scary. I try to hide behind the poetry some….but it’s real to me. Maybe end of week… xo

  2. Love it. Love the red toe nails, the feet, the sand, the ocean, the curve of the photo. Pleasing and delightful to the eyes. Made me giggle inside…and long for the sea. xoxox Sam

    July 10, 2012 at 4:48 AM

    • Thank you kindly dear Jim. Yes — open is important so those conscious dreams can occur;) Full steam ahead to you as well ~ and warmest wishes for a wonderful dreamy day 🙂 ~ RL

    I love your shot, lovely… 😉

    July 10, 2012 at 6:29 AM

    • Thank you , and I agree ledrakenoir. It’s when we quiet the mind enough to be able to receive those awake-state dreams that amazing things occur! Much Love ~RL

    Wise words, Robyn.
I’m a great believer in the messages our dreams send us (if only we have the skill to interpret them). As usual, you have paired the words up with a great image too.

    July 10, 2012 at 7:12 AM

    • You are so right about that Victoria…. to be still and mindful, and find that space where we can hear and interpret the message our truest self is sending us in those dreams…. that is the challenge. Glad you enjoyed the image/post, and hope thumb is coming along ok!! ~RL

  11. Good Morning Robyn, your wonderful followers (deservedly) have already stated what I would have said. Lovely post. I think our souls sigh when the creative self is expressive be it the artist or the viewer. As a viewer I am sighing.

    July 10, 2012 at 9:48 AM

    • Such a lovely sentiment….and yes – I have to agree that it is a collective ‘sigh’ for viewer and artist. I feel that way often when reading other bloggers’ work….like I’m deeply connected to this person I have never even met in person. I’ve thought about this a great deal Penny… and think it’s related to the personal nature of the expressions we share here. Thank you for mentioning this today as it’s a nice reflection for me. Also so glad you enjoyed here — and ‘sighed’ :)))

      July 10, 2012 at 11:31 AM

      • Thanks Robyn you are a pleasure to listen to and share with my friend.

        July 10, 2012 at 2:02 PM

  13. Renee Braunstein

Robyn I love this. The quote really makes you think and I love the photo. The colors in the sky look like a rainbow even though it isn’t one. I also love the sand castle. I’m going to the beach today. I can’t wait to get there.

    July 10, 2012 at 9:57 AM

    • Yes Renee, I thought the same…..almost looks like a rainbow the way the hues of blue water blend with the multicolored sky. Loved that sand castle too 🙂 Glad you enjoyed and it sparked thought for you. Have a WONDERFUL beach day!! xxoo

    July 10, 2012 at 10:53 AM

    • Glad you enjoyed Buck 🙂 Yes – even when I wrote it I had to really focus on my own interpretation, which is simply to pay attention to where the heart and mind go when we are in that peaceful place awake…like my photo symbolizes 🙂 Have a wonderful day ~ RL

      July 10, 2012 at 11:43 AM

      • it is so true! i have no idea where it goes, i guess i need to start paying attention!

      July 10, 2012 at 11:26 PM

  20. Beautiful! I absolutely LOVE your words…and your pictures! As for hiding behind words….yeah I’m doing the same! Thank you for inspiring me to perhaps in the future reach out and share my own words. You are a bright light appreciated and gifted! 🙂

    July 11, 2012 at 1:01 AM

    • Thanks so much Christina. So very lovely of you to say and I’m flattered. Yes — hard to self-reveal at times, and the poetry and quotes is helpful to begin sharing. Most blog friends have been very loving and accepting, and I think you will find the same as you explore further. I even receive a lot of support when I “get real” with my ick…. which are the hardest posts for me, but hopefully healing too. Sending you love and light this eve my friend! ~RL

      July 11, 2012 at 1:57 AM

  21. Very tranquil shot with great colors. Enjoyed your message as always do 🙂

    July 11, 2012 at 2:02 AM

    • Thanks so much for that Bryan. Much appreciate as always too!

      July 11, 2012 at 2:07 AM

  22. Robyn, I just read all your comments and admire you for being able and willing to keep up with replying when you are battling what you call your ‘ick’. In one of your above replies you described the horror of trying to get rid of the muscle knots and no matter how hard I tried I couldn’t imagine how this would feel because my worst physical pain has been migraine – nothing compared to what you suffer – nothing at all. Your ‘ick’ would be an unbearable nightmare for most of us and yet you bear it with such dignity and poise and beauty. If only thing could get better for you – I got a bit cynical about praying years ago but I am doing it again – praying for you. Lots of love Julie

    July 11, 2012 at 8:31 AM

    • Thank you sweet wonderful Julie. Yes – quite tempted to discontinue blogging for a while as it’s a double-edged sword in a sense. The photography requires more physical demands than I’m finding comfortable these days – both the shooting and the editing and post preparation. Sitting has been insane – though lying down and standing/walking not very good either. Very hard to be still. I’m always needing to stabilize my joints through motion and muscle contraction — connective tissue is not cooperating at all. It’s a weird syndrome – and now with hip joints failing – the mobility issues are really setting in. I basically exercise all day – but not in a happy way. Yes — migraine — I know him well too 😦 I truly wish pain and health issues would become extinct, and we humans could just live and die in peace!!

Thank you so much for your empathic words here. I know you certainly have your own horrific pain and challenge to contend with given all you are going through right now… and you are truly an inspiration to me and many others. I agree on the praying…. for whatever it is worth, I am finding my way back to my own brand of prayer – and you, Anthony and Ming are all included there…. Much Love and gratitude ~ Robyn

  28. Chris

Great post Robyn, I often think if we follow the path we are on when we are at peace within ourselves then we are on the right one. I find it very difficult to keep myself in that state of peace when I get there but your quote is spot on.

    July 17, 2012 at 4:21 AM

    • So true Chris…the very difficult part is maintaining that state (or as Abraham would say, alignment with self). We can only do our best – but the awareness is the first step. We will go in and out of it — and especially in the predicament we are in with the physical – very challenging to stay in. So glad you enjoyed the post 🙂 ~RL

      July 17, 2012 at 12:39 PM

      • Chris

Yes Abraham, that reminds me, I leant my ‘Ask and it is Given’ book out ages ago and I could do with giving it another read so I’m going to get that back as I find it really helpful in making me more positive about my situation. I treated it like a Bible for such a long time and kept reverting back to the teachings of Abraham when I felt myself become misaligned with my self, thanks Robyn.x
