Perhaps the dog named Tournesol – the French word for sunflower – and the confused professor of the Tintin stories… ‘big smile’
May 26, 2012 at 4:59 AM
Would be a great alternative name for sweet Rumi (named after the Persian Mystic Poet) !! I’m pleased to learn the French translation for sunflower today — thank you ledrakenoir!! 🙂

How do animals do that so naturally David….they know all the ‘tricks’ don’t they? I need to take more lessons!! 😉
May 26, 2012 at 11:27 AM
lol…because they don’t worry about what others think
May 26, 2012 at 11:39 AM
Good answer!!! …Or what they “should” be worrying about at any given moment — they just bask in the NOW and savor it. Bet Dogs don’t have insomnia either 🙂
May 26, 2012 at 11:44 AM
ohhhh…mine sure doesn’t lol
May 26, 2012 at 11:54 AM
Oh how sweet!! (He’s not trying to get to a drink of flower water like my cat Max does, is he???!)
May 26, 2012 at 10:09 AM
😉 Thanks KT! Actually Rumi has this fetish for resting his chin on things like he’s doing on the flower vase. He likes my arm the best – but will resort to the edge of his bed- or whatever he can scout out to find his position of most comfort! I did have a kitty who drank from the flower vase though …and my glass!! 🙂
May 26, 2012 at 11:30 AM
LOL…that totally made me laugh..everyone just looked at me as it burst out. lol too cute
May 26, 2012 at 10:49 AM

Yes Carlos — agree with you once again. Even in my darkest moments I escape to these places somehow…and that is what sustains me. Be well today and always –RL

that can sweetly sum up the abstract of discovery and the place of grace
May 27, 2012 at 12:39 AM
‘Abstract of discovery’ ~ yes Dean, this is what it often comes down to for me. I’m grateful I can usually find this place, despite the forces that block my path. Thank you for your insightful comment. ~RL

Thanks so much Sam. So glad you enjoyed. Oh on the top photo ~ husband of mine thinks I need to change these header photos each season so he dragged me out for a spring shot (just a tad of sun in my eyes here), I kind of liked my winter ‘in the snow’ pose but I’m glad you thought this one was cool too 🙂
