Thanks Julie! Very close to my home. I am a lucky girl to have gorgeous beaches within a mile of my doorsteps! Was always my dream when I was a young girl to live here.. Can’t believe it manifested! Now if I could sort out a few other things… xo

Are you okay? How are you feeling now?
May 24, 2012 at 12:19 AM
Still struggling some – but the time at the beach today was so good for me. I plan to get myself there as much as possible and “recharge”. I actually recovered from spine fusion on that beach. Hope I can manage it this season. Last 2 summers I was unable 😦 Hopeful this year will be different. New Pain Mgt consult next week, no clue if he can help. I am intolerant of any narcotic meds. Thanks Julie! Sending more hugs!

………….DANG, NO SHADOW…… 😉 !
May 24, 2012 at 12:10 AM
Ok Stan – truth is I have one from this shoot – today. My husband saw it and thought it was a tad too provocative to post! hee hee… Of course it’s just a shadow – but …we shall see if I can negotiate some. It’s kind of cool too – shadow in the seawater! 😉 Have a wonderful evening you!
May 24, 2012 at 12:22 AM
If even the THOUGHT of posting it made ya giggle and smile, thats good enough for me! lolol…May I suggest, take as many of those kinda shots as ya feel….don’t worry about posting them, but do keep them to look back at! Besides, we very seldom spend enough time with that wonderful playful side of ourselves… 😉 !
May 24, 2012 at 3:22 PM
oh – and no question your comment made me laugh Stan! 🙂
May 24, 2012 at 6:55 PM
:)…I agree. Think I will post it. It isn’t anything really… But think since there is a slight illusion of my lying down in sand(submerged in water) his mind ran for a minuute. guess that’s a good thing after 25 years wed 😉 stay tuned… And Stan- thanks for your fun input here –livens up things just enough, and your advice is excellent!
May 24, 2012 at 4:35 PM
ack! this just makes me crave the ocean right now…love it Robyn. The writing compliments the shot perfectly.
May 24, 2012 at 1:01 AM
So glad you feel that way RL! Yes – it was a magnificent day there…made me crave more of it too! So glad you liked the post and paired verse. It’s exactly how I felt while there today! Have a restful night 🙂 RL

Ah hon, read through the above comments, I wish you rest and healing too.
You so truly are a sweet soul and my heart feels for you. I can only imagine with heartbreak what you go through each day. Sending hugs and healing your way~R

Thanks so much. It’s been such a long haul for me that I try not to get completely devoured by the medical nonsense physically or emotionally. Do wish there would be a conclusive treatment plan – seems every doctor does what he does (to me) and it’s never the answer, and creates more problems. Trying to stay out of surgery ~ but one never knows. In the meantime the blog project has been great fun – and so many interesting wonderful people. Appreciate your caring thoughts RL ~ truly!

Its too bad though can’t just magically heal all that plagues people, that would fix us all. But you are by far one of the bravest I’ve known. 🙂
May 24, 2012 at 1:33 AM
Appreciate that RL! 🙂

Love the curved jetty…amazing flexibility with that fisheye! Does make me think anything is possible….even some clarity….:)
May 24, 2012 at 3:50 AM
Thanks Meryl – was my wide-angle lens (rarely use the fisheye) but this wide-angle does seem to lend some curve to the image time and time again. It’s sort of a cross between the standard lens and the fisheye. Yes – was just gorgeous there yesterday. Will need to make a date soon on a day I’m functional enough. We can both inhale the ions for clarity 🙂 xo

Simply beautiful, I am sorry to hear you are still struggling, sending my best wishes over the Atlantic.
May 24, 2012 at 4:27 AM
Hey Chris..thank you. I am absorbing all your good wishes. Yesterday was actually a better day as I got myself to a beach! Gotta be grateful for that … even though every step I take is a risk. Did a short walk along the shoreline bare feet in sand – and seem ok today so far … maybe it will be my cure . Do you walk in sand ~ is it manageable? Usually I would pay a price for the instability but maybe good sign I just have sore gluteus soreness, but no major torture so far. What’s great about the beach is I can lay out on a blanket and exercise (floor work) and also work my trigger points … though I worry what others think I’m doing when I do self-massage !! 🙂 Really appreciate your good wishes and send them back to you as well!! RL
May 24, 2012 at 10:26 AM
So glad to hear you had a better day yesterday and you’re not paying for it today – I really hope that’s a good sign for you and your recovery. I’m not sure walking on sand would be manageable for me as my balance is really poor but you never know, it could be just what I need. Ha ha, I wonder what they’d think when doing self massage, that made me laugh, if it helps ease the pain, keep at it.
You keep up with the better days Robyn, Take care.
May 24, 2012 at 11:16 AM
You too Chris and thanks! Trigger point work and self-massage are KEY for me. Have your explored? Dr. Janet Travell wrote the “bible” medical texts on this. I’ve owned them for over 10 years… know every muscle, origin, insertions and nerve pathway – and what pain referral patterns of the muscles. Has not been a cure but is by far the best pain-management “go-to” tool for me. Let me know if I can offer more resource info if you haven’t explored this! Yes – sometimes a little self- conscious with the self-massage – but hey – a girl has to do what a girl has to do right? 😉 Sending Love!

love the curved effect…makes it seem so immediate and private…wonderful thoughts as well…love it Robyn:)
May 24, 2012 at 6:15 AM
Thanks David… really was immediate and private. I was very lucky my car drove itself there at a time I really needed the “recharge”!! I do like the curved effect as well (it’s the wide-angle lens, and utilize it a lot)… Softens up the shot and allows me to capture more of what is there in any given scene.
So glad you liked my written expression too…. I know my “poems” are really brief, as opposed to your masterful works – but I do spend a good deal of time meditating on the image, and trying to convey my feelings in an appealing way. Not sure I’m there yet – but your validation means a lot!! Have a ‘wonder’ filled day dear David!
ps: purple background – you inspired me to be bold 🙂 do you like?? I miss my ‘green’ but really needed a change 😉
May 24, 2012 at 10:41 AM
I could use some clarity. Need some ions, too! Beautiful shot.
May 24, 2012 at 8:13 AM
I will bring you some soon 🙂 Thank you Kathy – really glad you enjoyed the post!! Sending Love 🙂
May 24, 2012 at 10:51 AM
Ahhh, what I would give to be laying on that sand with the water creeping close to my feet!
May 24, 2012 at 8:51 AM
Ahhh- I know Lisa – come on over!! I actually had my feed submerged as I took a slow walk along the shore. Have not done that in ages. Feel pretty good today – so I’m giving the healing salt water and ion-charged air the credit!! So glad you enjoyed… thanks so much 🙂

That quote is so interesting. I had to read it a few times and I love the photo. It looks magical.
May 24, 2012 at 10:23 AM
Was amazing to be there. I could have stayed forever. Yes – Had to work on my poem/quote for a bit…. had some strong feelings about what I wanted to say and needed to decide on the perfect words, for the very short verse. Hope it conveyed my emotion well! Thanks again Renee…need to take you there when I’m back to normal function!

The sea always seems to suck the poison out of my soul through my feet (soles). 😉 I pray it does the same for you. Be Blessed. ~Dan
May 24, 2012 at 2:27 PM
🙂 yes Dan… made myself soak those soles yesterday walking along the shoreline. Had exactly that in mind too! Feeing improved today so their may be some merit to the remedy:).
Thank you & blessings your way as well my friend…RL

Thank you Carlos… I am thrilled I could send you a slice of “peace” today 🙂 Adios for now! RL
