Thanks Elizabeth. Have a special affinity for swings. Took this first snow fall this winter and wasn’t too sure…but actually LOVE it today!

This photo is really cool — love how you’ve treated it! Great accompanying quote too!

Thanks Ivy. Was excited about the light highlighting the tree branches. Sun was out and it was snowing too. The color version was fun too but loved this color scheme for hint the mystery it offered! Pj & yes – so agree with this quote!

Thanks so much Victoria. This was an interesting combination of sun and light snow and the color version was pretty interesting too…but fell in love with tis color palate. It’s hard for me to be objective sometimes – but in certain instances the mood/textures win out over color. Interesting you have been attracted to less saturation in your work as well. Case by case I would imagine is the way to go!

Lovely image – the texture of ground. tree trunk and foliage shows up really well in the light. The colour scheme you’ve chosen is just perfect.
(I’ve been starting to de-saturate the colour in a few images of late and really like the subdued palate so much better than the bright colours often shown in Australian landscape photos).

LOL ~ yes I can get that. Something about the lighting (there was sun and snow together) sort of gives off an aura of ghosts or spirits near perhaps?? Truth is it’s my swing in the yard here 😉

Oh and I meant it David…if you find yourself in need of the spooky swing photo for a DLW masterpiece – you have my permission to reprint (can send you original file if that’s helpful, or you can drag/save it right off the blog post). You are getting so good with your camera these days though, that I imagine you may just find the perfect swing photo opportunity in Florida ! 🙂

Thanks David – and don’t underestimate the power of these mobile/phone cameras. I think your photos are getting better and better ~ more to do with your creative drive than the camera ability. BTW – all my photos are done with an i phone 4S!! Have a few choices of lenses to use with it (like the fisheye today) – but I love the ease of having that thing with me always. My Canon is up in the cabinet!!! 🙂
