  1. Beautiful and quite a picture you both paint! Love the photo and am a little upset with the WP mail system… I have been wondering why you had not posted a page for a while I am observing that you have and for some reason your post’s which I used to receive religiously have not been being e mailed to me. I quite love your pages and your style of expression, Sorry I have had the misfortune of missing them as of late for some strange reason. Thank you Robyn for sharing your gifts and sorry I missed a few it is somewhat a tragedy as I love your creations and will have to just start stopping by to make sure I don’t think you went on vacation or something.. Awesome post my friend! 🙂

    • Joe – thank you so much~ I am thrilled you enjoyed the “painted pictures” here 🙂 ~ I loved that.
So sorry you are not getting email notifications. Are you certain you are still signed up for such? Sometimes I have inadvertently touched the computer and unfollowed. It is easy to do. I do think my last 2 posts got jumbled in the publishing – but you still should have gotten notice – just may not have linked to the post. I know I’ve been showing up in the WP reader – but maybe you don’t use that source. In any case — I’m happy to see you ~ and am keeping up with you and your blissful state these days ~ Keep it going my friend ~ So much love – RL

      • You have the power to awaken the inspiration, even thousands of miles happens. Thanks my friend and I hope your little flower your daughter every success there in Spain.

        March 29, 2013 at 12:10 AM

    • I am flattered Carlos. Gracias, and so appreciate your good wishes for my “little flower” ~ she is adoring the culture and the people there. So happy it’s been so wonderful for her as she tends to get homesick… Spain must be a warm loving country. Love and Blessings dear Carlos 🙂

  3. What is it with WP… I get the notices that you have posted… and like this one when I click to link it comes up with that pesky message.. “Whoops! Whatever you are looking for cannot be found.” I try and try but nothing wants to come through… today I went and searched your Bio and from there linked through to your posts… eureka.. I found the last few posts to which I have not had my normal connection… boy how I’ve missed them… I see you commenting on mine and no posts from you, I’ve been worried… but now I know how to get onto the blog when that pesky message comes up…
I loved these words .. and got down to the photo… now I knew the problem Robyn is in Spain on holiday… then you smash my reasoning by saying it’s your daughter….!!!!…. are you two not sisters.?? This image could so easily be mistaken as you… so beautiful… man but I miss your words and photos when things go awry.. but you wont be able to sneak past me again…

    March 29, 2013 at 12:54 AM

    • Thank you bulldog ~ I think it’s partially my fault… I’ve been having issues with the time settings and then have to trash and republish in order to come up on the reader…i think that might be the problem (at least last 2 posts). I think it’s resolved now though… but thank you for thinking of me and wondering where I’ve been – you are a love! 😉 I’m glad you are all caught up now… So happy you enjoyed the post — I wish I was in Spain on Holiday (or South Africa)… but too big a trip for on my behalf… so I sent a few folks out on assignment to capture this shot for me – and I did my finishing touches and the inspired poetic verse… Bet my daughter was surprised today 🙂 lol! Would love to be sisters too – but she’s just 20 …. imagine I could be 20 again – would be heavenly… we do look alike I’ve been told quite often. Sending so much love and wishes for a lovely weekend ahead! x RL

  4. DO you change something in the title, or the URL after you post? The emails lately tell me that posts can’t be found. But I always go to the main page and check anyway.

I adore this post. it is completely exquisite. You have such a talent Robyn, both with poetry and the camera. And you look so young!! It’s hard to believe that that is your daughter in the photo!!

    March 29, 2013 at 6:03 AM

    • Thanks Alastair — So happy you enjoyed and such a lovely compliment. My daughter is 20, and many do think we look alike …. but no unfortunately – I’m a long way from 20 🙂 ~ how nice it would be to turn back the clock though ~ was a good year! Being petite I think can fool people about my age ~ I feel 30 since that was my last year pain-free!

On the WP thing… yes – I was having issues with getting the post to show up in Reader – and realized the” time” in settings was off by like 12 hours somehow.. so i trashed the post a few times and republished it… but think that must interfere with the link on email notices?? Happened last post too. I hope it is sorted now! I am using military time now. Is that what you use?Let me know if you have any tips for me – you are excellent at this WP tech stuff dear one! ~ Much Love — RL

      March 29, 2013 at 12:43 PM

      • You certainly don’t look . When you said she was 20, I thought you must have had her young.

I set my time to GMT. I will have to change it tomorrow night though as our clocks go forward an hour.

        March 29, 2013 at 2:30 PM

    • Thank you Alastair — appreciate that – and will try to get my time settings all sorted out! You have a wonderful weekend!! x RL

      March 29, 2013 at 9:20 PM

      • Thanks Robyn, you too 🙂

    March 29, 2013 at 1:01 PM

    • Thank you so much dearest Jane ~ I think I am using the visualization skills I learned on my rehab trip in my work here too perhaps 🙂 I am so glad you enjoyed ~ and wish you a lovely weekend ahead. Much Love ~ R

      March 29, 2013 at 9:11 PM

  8. This makes me smile. You have a beautiful way with words.

    March 29, 2013 at 1:28 PM

    • I am so glad to know this rarebird — smiling is wonderfully healing !~ Thank you for your generous compliment… i appreciate! 🙂 ~ Love and Blessings – RL

      March 29, 2013 at 9:23 PM

  9. I love how you go from an image to beautiful poetry.

    March 29, 2013 at 6:46 PM

    • So appreciate that Dan ~ thank you kindly. I find images are what most often inspire me to write… I always thought I was a more “auditory” learner – but now wonder as the visuals are powerful for me and my creative process. So happy you enjoyed ~ much love and blessings – RL

      March 29, 2013 at 9:27 PM

      • Seeing your love of photography, it doesn’t surprise me that images would lead to words. =)

        March 30, 2013 at 4:56 AM

  10. Robyn, how do you do this? Each time your present one of your beautiful photographic creations you then proceed to brush stroke with every nuance and shaded texture imaginable the same exact quality in the poetic creativity of your written words. Exquisite (as always) dearest beloved friend of mine ~ Penny xoxo

ps – like mother, like daughter – both beautiful! Inside and out! And just in case you weren’t the one taking this shot, the above comment still holds true my friend! 🙂

    March 29, 2013 at 7:54 PM

    • Thank you soooo much my most lovely friend! I was just saying above that I always thought I was more auditory processor – but here, the images always seem to inspire my creativity in poetry – so maybe I am more visual than I thought. Usually they are photos I have taken personally, but since I was not able to make the journey to Spain (and Itialy btw) – I sent a few of my “secret agents” to capture this for me so I could share it here as a follow up to “My Butterfly” ~ I am delighted you enjoyed… this was a fun one — and made me feel like I did get to visit (just a little)… Sending tons of love and hugs ~ x Robyn

      March 29, 2013 at 9:31 PM

      • Hi Robyn, yes after I got over my initial reaction to your most excellent words, I of course recognized your beautiful daughter and where she was, so I added my p.s. to my comment. Your butterfly must be having a ball over there. Love to you also, Happy Easter dearest friend! xo

        March 30, 2013 at 3:33 PM

  11. Beautiful dear friend! Absolutely beautiful! Blessings, Robyn

    March 29, 2013 at 11:13 PM

    March 30, 2013 at 3:22 PM

    • Thank you so much Bobbie ~ very much appreciate and means a great deal! So much Love and abundant blessings ~ Robyn

      March 31, 2013 at 11:56 AM

  13. Like mother, like daughter…so beautiful. The image is lovely and your words could take the reader in so many different directions. I don’t know how you do it?! 🙂

    March 31, 2013 at 8:29 AM

    • Aww ~ thank you LuAnn, you are so very kind!

… I wish mother was enjoying Seville (and Italy) with daughter ~ but this was the closest I could get 🙂 Miss the little butterfly! ~ I sent my ‘agents’ to get me an image, and then the poem sort of wrote itself. lol ~ ‘all directions’… Yes can take the reader through the sensual feelings the painter might experience as he works… passionately engrossed in his creation… Truly it is “The Art Of Love” at its finest 🙂

~ Sending you and yours love and blessings today and always ~ RL

      March 31, 2013 at 12:02 PM

  14. Happy Easter Miss Robyn….and your wearing some nice boots in the photo. 🙂

  16. Kev

I love the picture Robyn. It really captures the worlds of the poem and brings them to light and likewise vice-versa if that makes any sense to you. 🙂

    April 1, 2013 at 1:05 PM

    • Oh thank you so much Kev! yes makes total sense ~ that is really what I do a lot — work back and forth with words and photo … let he photo talk to me and tell me a story 🙂 ~ thrilled that you enjoyed it!! x Much Love ~ rl

    • Lauren ~ thank you so very much!! That means the world to me — so happy you could feel this way too! Much Love ~ Robyn

      April 2, 2013 at 11:42 PM

      • You’re very welcome and I sense you and your daughter are “close.” My daughter is 21 and we’re at the friendship stage, which is so wonderful. I’ll always be her Mom, but it’s nice to “hang out” now as adults! xx

There is a photo of her on my “Boa Beauty post.” 🙂

        April 2, 2013 at 11:45 PM

      • Yes Lauren, super close with both my girls. It so so true about the “stages” us mom’s go through too… my older daughter is 23 and it’s a new stage there too… wonderful to be able to be ‘friends” and “mom” at the same time. Totally get that. Loved the ‘Boa Beauty’ ~ she’s brave and stunning 🙂 Love to you! RL

        April 3, 2013 at 11:23 AM

      • Thanks so much, Robyn, and for all your visits! 🙂 Love and hugs to you, too!

        April 3, 2013 at 12:06 PM

  19. BEAUTIFUL poem Robyn! I feel honored that you share this with us and love your writing and photography. Did something in particular inspire this photo from Sevilla? Have you been there recently? Love to you -AB

    April 4, 2013 at 12:00 AM

    • THANK YOU Arash! Actually I did have the opportunity to go ~ but unfortunately physically could not manage the trip. My 20 year old daughter is there (young lady in the photo)… she is doing her abroad study there for the semester… so I joined the family “virtually” and was able to con them into getting me a fun photo to work with for this blog post! She is loving it there (says she can live there forever)… and I’m impressed as she is usually one to miss home … Maybe one day I will get to visit – but for now – this was my way of participating and creating a fun memory of her adventure. I’m so glad you enjoyed it ~ and know you too have aspirations to travel again! Sending you love and hugs ~ Robyn

      April 4, 2013 at 1:33 AM

  20. How did I ever miss this ? It’s so unbelievably artistic and graceful, as though you have written the thoughts of the painter. Without looking at the picture, just for a moment I thought you were the subject of the painting. X back to you.
    Paul

    April 4, 2013 at 8:42 PM

    • Thank you so much dearest Paul! I am so flattered by your lovely words. I was sort of “projecting” here … yes to be the painter — a sensitive loving painter at that! It’s my little one in the photo, of course ~ some say we look alike, Ahhh~ but to be 20 again – if only! 🙂 Much Love ~ rlx

      April 4, 2013 at 10:44 PM

  21. This is just beautiful Robyn – you look so alike!! You must miss her so – always we have the joy mingled with a bit of sadness I think. Loved this poem too. Take care Robyn, Ruth xx

    April 6, 2013 at 4:43 PM

    • Thank you so much Ruth. Yes – we do – especially when I was her age 🙂 Yes – -it’s always mixed emotions… just happy she is happy, can’t ask for more than that! xo RL

        April 7, 2013 at 10:50 AM

        April 7, 2013 at 11:01 AM

      • Yes dear poojy! So much in my heart… Where it counts!!❤
