May 15, 2012 at 10:52 AM
The photograph is fantastic and the message is something I will try to tell myself tomorrow morning when I roll over in bed and groan ‘5 more minutes!’
May 15, 2012 at 4:26 AM
Julie… thank you! I know, mornings are not typically easy for me either. This type of scene may give us some incentive though 🙂
May 15, 2012 at 11:02 AM
Reblogged this on PRESIDENTS OF THE SOLAR SYSTEM.

Such a warm photo
May 15, 2012 at 5:45 AM
So appreciate. Yes – feels warm to me too — though was a bit breezy 🙂
May 15, 2012 at 10:53 AM
breathtaking, Robyn…this is so magical…wow…wow again….
May 15, 2012 at 6:00 AM
Hope it was a good image to start off your morning David! Thanks you sooo much and have a wonderful day 😉
May 15, 2012 at 10:56 AM
Wow !
Stunning image, Robyn. I think this is the best photo you’ve even shot. Beautiful reflections.
May 15, 2012 at 6:28 AM
Oh Victoria – thanks so much. I take that as a huge compliment coming from you!! Was actually amongst many I wasn’t even sure I’d use and it just “spoke to me” last night as I was trying to decided what today’s post should be. I’m so glad it did as everyone seems taken by it. Funny how sometimes you don’t appreciate the beauty of an image till way later! 🙂
May 15, 2012 at 11:00 AM
Perfect start to the day..Thanks for sharing 🙂
May 15, 2012 at 6:43 AM
Thrilled it was a good send-off for you iamlenise! Thanks so much!
May 15, 2012 at 11:20 AM
Oh my, how I want to just go sit there right now…or fly through the clouds, so beautiful. Wish you a good day today and thank you as always.
May 15, 2012 at 7:51 AM
Ravishing Robyn, love the composition and the glistening shoreline is magical…wish I could get out earlier…this is inspiring…
May 15, 2012 at 8:46 AM
Thanks Meryl! Glad you liked the image… Yes – I have heard that daybreak is when divine inspiration is most likely to occur. Still, mornings are such a challenge for me. I think you are right though…there is something to be said for scenes like this as incentive for an earlier bedtime! 🙂
May 15, 2012 at 11:07 AM
That is so beautiful. It looks like a painting. I love waking up early in the morning when it is real quiet and all you could hear is the birds chirping.
May 15, 2012 at 9:34 AM
Thank you so much Renee. It is a very soothing and warm image. Yes – the sounds of daybreak have a magical effect, especially if one has had a decent night’s rest!
May 15, 2012 at 11:08 AM
Wonderful
May 15, 2012 at 9:41 AM
The mockingbirds hear it and blab it all over town! 😉 ~Dan
May 15, 2012 at 12:12 PM
That’s great Dan – you are a natural comedian!! Well as long as they share the secrets with us we should all be good to go! 😉
May 15, 2012 at 12:37 PM
Oh they share it! Every morning outside my window. I finally outsmarted them and started getting up at 5:30! 😉
May 15, 2012 at 12:45 PM
😉 Good strategy!! When is bedtime Dan?
May 15, 2012 at 12:48 PM
Not soon enough. Usually between 10 and midnight with an average of 11….though lately my chair sneaks up and knocks me out before I make it to bed.
May 15, 2012 at 12:52 PM
😉 That chair is a blessing! My brain thinks bedtime is 3 am or so lately.
May 15, 2012 at 12:56 PM
I wonder what the world would be like if we let the kids play while we took naps? Seems a better approach IMHO! 😀 (I’d vote for a president on that platform!)
May 15, 2012 at 12:58 PM
😉
May 15, 2012 at 1:48 PM
Lovely!
Is there a particular Rumi book/work you could recommend for the start? (I am more Taoist/Zennish, but I have seen several nice Rumi quotes recently and am interested).
May 15, 2012 at 6:26 PM
Thank you! You may want to check out http://www.amazon.com/Rumi-Book-Poems-Ecstasy-Longing/dp/0060523166%3FSubscriptionId%3D19BAZMZQFZJ6G2QYGCG2%26tag%3Dsquid1076143-20%26linkCode%3Dxm2%26camp%3D2025%26creative%3D165953%26creativeASIN%3D0060523166
Coleman Barks is the translator for most of Rumi’s works and does an excellent job! The other classic Rumi book is The Essential Rumi. There maybe some overlap. His poems a bit more complex than the isolated quotes – but most fall in love with this mystic. And like you, I also am attracted to the Taoist principles. Nice to mix it up sometimes though 🙂 Well wishes your way!!
May 15, 2012 at 6:38 PM
Ahhh – thanks a lot, it’s on my “buy next” list now!
Yes, a mixing in of other principles/practices can be very insightful (dogmatism is only hindering).
All the best for you, too! 🙂
May 15, 2012 at 7:27 PM
I like “The Rumi Collection” Edited by Kabir Helminski…They are Rumi poems. Based on your practices you might really enjoy this. Blessings, Erin Thanks Robyn for your Quotes!
May 15, 2012 at 6:39 PM
Many thanks for the recommendation – also on my list now! 😉

Beautiful colour and composition, Robyn. and getting up early these days is a wonder to behold-both to see me get up early and to observe what is happening as the trees are opening their leaves and the world is turning green and it is even hot out -YAY!
May 16, 2012 at 12:41 PM
Thanks so much Jane. Yes – not easy for me these days either…sometimes bedtime is near sunrise time! But agree, it’s a very special experience when we can get to it!
