    • Aww.. thank you dear Mari! Yes – Rumi has a face to melt all hearts 😉 He’s typically much fluffier in body – but this is post-buzz cut! Oh and his spirit is even more awesome – pure love. So flattered you would add postcards with my images/verses to your collection…and may have to consider doing something like this. I soooo… appreciate your sweetness Mari!

What an adorable puppy. He has got the cutest face.
    Thanks for sharing.
(and I can see a lot of dandelions which need photographing too. LOL).

    May 12, 2012 at 6:06 AM

    • Thanks Victoria… yes those dandelions were what made me decide to create the post — thought they gave a dream-like effect to the shot – thus “wonderland” 🙂 Rumi is a sweetheart!

  4. It’s like he’s running through a fantasy world…I can see you lying down like your cover shot…This is sooooo wonderful:)))))

    May 12, 2012 at 7:41 AM

    • I think in Rumi’s universe everyday is a fantasy world 🙂 We can learn a lot from that little guy! Actually, was not lying down here, but I’ve gotten pretty good at the glute work (squats)… thanks to my hip rehab efforts. Was told by a top athletic trainer recently that I have perfect form for a “dead-lift squat”! Can you imagine (if only that was my key to recovery) !! won’t be doing any dead-lifts trust me, but allows me to get down low, and find some cool perspective for my photography work ~ LOL! So glad you liked it David — May your weekend be filled with wonder wherever you go!

      May 12, 2012 at 10:46 AM

      • Well…we all should be perfect at something!!! hehehehe….Soccer with the boys and then who knows:))) I would wish you wonder but you always seem to find it anyway:)

        May 12, 2012 at 10:59 AM

      • 😉 I try!! Enjoy the soccer fun!

Are you hanging s steak out there to get that face? Awesome photo!

    May 12, 2012 at 8:01 AM

    • LOL!! I’m hysterical William 🙂 Rumi wishes it was steak, but he is actually going after a ball ! He’s addicted to the game of fetch – even throws his own ball and chases it… Thanks so much for your great comment!

  6. Fantastic photo and concept – not having to go far – thank you Robyn and Happy Mother’s Day to you!!!

    May 12, 2012 at 8:22 AM

    • Yes Jules, I often have to remind myself of this….especially when I am limited in the adventures I can take these days. Was really tough when the family ventured to Spain and such and I had to enjoy my winter wonderland home with Rumi 😦 I try though …. So glad you enjoyed and Happy Mother’s Day to you too!

A nature shot from the puppy point of view. Love it!

    May 12, 2012 at 9:02 AM

    • Yes Jill – I had fun with this one. Was one of my “what can I photograph without going anywhere” days — and the side yard seems sort of dull till I got down to Rumi’s level 🙂 So appreciate your feedback ~ as always!

  11. if i may Robyn, i would like to share with you one of my favorite quotes …

” The moment one gives close attention to anything, even a blade of grass, it becomes a mysterious, awesome, indescribably magnificent world in itself. ” ~ Henry Miller

what i think he is saying here is that wherever one may be … here, there, anywhere, everywhere or nowhere really at all … it doesn’t really matter because there is always something awesome wherever one may be if eyes and heart remain open …

once again, awesome photograph and thoughts … it really is all a wonderland …
wishing you well and a wonderful mother’s day too …:)

    May 12, 2012 at 7:44 PM

    • Jimi – thanks for this great quote by Miller!! Had I known of it, or come across it, I may have used his exact words instead of trying to convey this very concept in my attempt at lyrical rhyme! Totally agree, and also agree with your interpretation. Everything is colored by the lens we look through! Best to you Jimi and much appreciate your Mother’s day wishes too!

      May 13, 2012 at 12:11 AM

  12. So true this quote, I agree with it in 100%. And this picture…haha… so funny face this dog did 😉 thanks for putting smile on my face 😉 I hope you have had a wonderful weekend in your Wonderland!
