Retreat
Like the turtle
cautious and slow;
we need a safe shell
when it’s time to lie low.

Thanks Julie… he’s actually a friendly guy — and like the ladies – but when he’s in need of that “alone time” – he goes for it! Need to take lessons:)

I know Eremophia! Major advantage to have a built in ‘peaceful place’ to go when needed:)

My grandmother was Italian, one day she told me: If you are going slowly, you can go far.
Your words made me remember my grandmother.
Thank you.

I have a little totem of a turtle that I keep in my pocket, who reminds me to be comfortable in all circumstances and luxuriate in a feeling of timelessness. Take it slow, friend, he reminds me! Great photo!!

Awww – erran – that is completely wonderful. I love the idea of a totem reminder turtle in your pocket. Thanks for sharing and I’m so glad you liked the post!

Your photo & quote remind me to slow down, take deep breathes and just BE.

This guy is so majestic… and your sepia treatment makes it look like something Darwin photographed on some south sea island!

Oh my – Darwin – really? How cool Ivy – thank you!! He is pretty majestic at that:)
