  1. Ahhhh, what a thought provoking poem. And so perfectly paired with the image of the mystery man doing his private “dance”. Love to you my gifted friend. Robyn

    • Thank you so much Robyn! You are so generous, and I appreciate. I’d wanted to do this one for a while now – and needed to find my “chi” to generate the words for it. So happy you enjoyed. Much Love and Blessings, Robyn

  2. This looks like a Tai Chi beauty! Very sensual Robyn. Of course with the poem alone, as I read it, I was expecting a love affair… well I guess it is of sorts! Peace and love to you my dear Robyn. Resa (F-G-S) xo

    May 8, 2013 at 9:20 PM

    • Yes dear Resa ~ you are absolutely correct — we caught him “in the zone” – a beautiful place to be! Yes – in many respects, “a love-affair” — and for this master martial artist — a very long term one too 🙂 I am fortunate to have such a great shot to inspire my passionate poem.
So much Love, your F-G-S, Robyn x
ps: still shopping for poet blouses too!

  5. It is the swan song of surrender, the leaning into the familiar unfamiliar. I love this, Robyn. As always, you take our breath away the meter of your words, as if breathed into life for the first time. Exquisite, my beautiful friend. Exquisite. ~ Love ever, Bobbie

    May 8, 2013 at 9:54 PM

    • Oh Bobbie… you have such keen insight my friend! Exactly so! Transcendence: into that ‘unknown’ space — trusting in the ‘letting go’ – releasing what is illusion, in order to flow with that which is truth…

I am so thrilled you loved this. Means the world to me, and so much thanks for your kind and generous praise — the meter was different for me this time, and am relieved it came through as I’d hoped! Blessings and Much Love ~ Robyn

    May 8, 2013 at 9:57 PM

    • Thank you so much dear Roxi! From you, means so much. Do agree (beautifully motioned – even better in person ;)) — Tai Chi is a an amazing art to witness, and when performed by a master, like this one, even more magical. There are many elements of the art hidden within my short poem… I hope I did it justice. Love and appreciation to you always, Robyn

It’s a lot of fun for me to work with the photos this way… feels like the photos speak to me if that makes any sense. 16. What’s that he’s practicing: Ai-kido or Thai-chi?

    May 9, 2013 at 3:36 AM

    • Hi Dann — I believe my subject is doing T’ai chi (Long Yang Form) …. do you practice one of the martial arts?
Such an incredible discipline and beautiful art. 🙂
Good thoughts your way today! RL

      May 9, 2013 at 10:59 AM

      • No, I have been a kickboxer for a big part of my life, but I have always been interested in the Eastern Martial Arts and have followed a couple of karate, thai chi and ai’kido sessions, but nothing recurring.

It is a beautiful art, absolutely.

Thank you and same to you. Have a great weekend!

        May 9, 2013 at 1:16 PM

    • Thanks Daan – yes these various practices are so incredible – healing on many levels. With your kick boxing experience I would imagine Ai-kido would come fairly natural to you. This form of Tai Chi takes many years to master. Then there is another level of this you may be familiar with, ‘Push Hands’ which is really cool as well. ~ All great stuff! Appreciate the dialogue – and you too have a great weekend!! 🙂 xRL

Thank you so much for your kind and loving heart. I always appreciate you. x Robyn

  21. Yes, I was very fortunate to have this lovely Muse/image to meditate on for my post Jane!! Thank you.. 35. Very awesome, Robyn. I like anything that celebrates Tai Chi. I’m currently learning Yang style short form. I’m pretty close to advancing to the next level. Thanks for sharing this.

    May 16, 2013 at 5:59 PM

    • Even more awesome to know you are learning Yang form Eric!! So exciting … truly an amazing martial art, and life-changing in many ways. I know how much discipline it takes too, much more difficult than most realize. So thrilled you could appreciate my small tribute here. Keep enjoying your practice, and thank you so much for this comment! ~ Love to you – RL

  36. So lovely and your words are beautifully pared with the image! You have a wonderful talent with words, Robyn! 🙂
How have you been doing lately? Has there been any improvement?

    May 17, 2013 at 11:46 PM

    • Thank you so much Fergi. You are so kind. I’m still in the midst of trying to figure out what to do next. Some days I do think there is small gains, and then others I slide way back. It is quite a roller coaster ride as I am sure you can relate. Hope you are holding your own too sweet friend. Sending Hugs and Love ~ Robyn x

      May 19, 2013 at 10:49 AM

  37. I really enjoyed this one Robyn! Your poem and photo matched so perfectly. I do so love the art of Tai Chi and your poem evokes it beautifully. Excellent inspiration on your part I think xx

    May 18, 2013 at 7:56 PM

    • Thank you dear Ruth!! Yes – it is such an amazing thing to watch — I have great respect for people who can master this martial art…. so much discipline. I am thrilled you enjoyed the combination and think I did justice with the words too! Love to you always, Robyn

      May 19, 2013 at 11:51 PM

  38. I like the concept of the poem. It looks like a dense forest to me. The shot is just nice that the hand covered his face, and preserved his anonymity, a true master.

    May 19, 2013 at 8:18 PM

    • Hi quiquan! Thank you. I am so happy you enjoyed this. Was random shot and he was completely lost in his form – so was lucky capture indeed… and , as you mention, that it worked to preserve the anonymity so I could blog the photo. Yes – he is really excellent at the Tai Chi — I’m in awe of it truly! Appreciate your comment today my friend — sending good thoughts your way ~ 🙂 Robyn

      May 19, 2013 at 11:54 PM

      • Thank you Robyn, for all the detailed explanation. I did taichi for 5 years when I was in my primary school, around 1982-86. It’s a pity that I did not continue since then. It was a choice given by my father, a gift of love in my life =).
