Hope & Healing Through Photography and Poetic Expression

For This Moment

Just
for
this
moment

~

our
eyes
lock

~

and
we
feel
peace;

~

We
promise
silently

~

to
be
still
together,

~

enveloped
in the
arms
of
nature;

~

 To
behold

~

the
gentle
beauty

~

that
is
you

~

that
is
me;

~

The
world
gets
quiet:

~

a
breath

~

a
gaze,

~

and
then

~

you
are
gone;

~

leaving
me

~

to
wonder

~

if
our
meeting

~

was
merely

~

a
dream.

Thank you Ms. Robyn Lee….wish all the hunters for sport could read this, and be able to comprehend the meaning and depth of the words.

    • Thank you so much Mr. Jueseppi B. I do agree~something sacred about Nature’s special creatures… hunting would never agree with me for this reason. Very honored and grateful for the reblog dear friend ~ much love your way ~Robyn Lee

    • Thank you so much Julie. Yes — this was one of those moments/images that I was not sure how to embellish with words… and yes – complex feelings, that seemed best described with very simple verse. So glad you got that dear friend ~ means a lot! Much Love to you always, Robynx

    November 30, 2012 at 5:58 AM

    • Thank you dear Cat ~ your comments always make me ponder and smile. Very happy you find healing and comfort here with me. Yes – very much in sync with Jungian theory… which teaches that animals very often function as symbols of the Self, Carl Jung explained it as “core of the psyche”. Also animals often come to us a spirit guides (sometimes in dreams and sometimes in conscious awareness)… and if we can be still enough to listen … they may share wisdom or soothe us. It’s mystical in many ways…but can feel the significance in certain moments like this one…with my friend the lovely deer. Love you sweet soul ~ will check in soon ! xo RL

  14. I love that photo… almost giving one that quite glimpse before disappearing without a sound as they do… and then to put those words to the photo.. so appropriate , so meaningful…. a Master to the task you are, an absolute master… I always have a quick look at the photo before i read the words… then everything just falls into place… I love it, and your blog… love to you and yours… marvelous…

    November 30, 2012 at 8:11 AM

    • Thanks so much bulldog!! Exactly – it’s that one sacred moment alone with the lovely creature! I know you understand this given the nature of your art and intimate relationship with the beautiful animals of your land! And so appreciate your lovely compliment about my creative endeavors here 🙂 So you look at the photo first all the time do you?? So interesting! I always wonder if I should always place photo at top…but some have told me they like the words first – so I mix it up! Just so glad you are enjoying!! xo Much love your way as well ~ x Robyn

      November 30, 2012 at 4:25 PM

      • I wouldn’t change the photo to the top as this way.. your words can have the imagination working… I just love to look at the photos.. somehow I can picture your thought train then… I’m trying to analysis how you do it, I so want to try…

  22. Hi Robyn, Wouldn’t it be great if we could sit and commune for awhile with nature. Sit down next to the doe or a fawn, perhaps lay a gentle hand on their fur and well just commune. Your words and photograph take me there to that wishful thought, both are so exquisite in their use and delivery. Excellent Post. Thank you dearest friend of mine, much love and many hugs, hope your weekend is especially good for you ~ Penny xxoxx

    Inside a moment
    A smile expands like rainbow
on a rain gifted day .
    Two hearts
    wrapped in ecstasy
    hold
    high above the mundane
    as a drop quenches
the thirst of a forgiven minute .
    You and me
    and the moment
    A universe that’s US

    December 4, 2012 at 8:34 AM
